What film did you watch last night?

X-Men apocalypse

Edit about an hour out of this film and you might have the makings of a decent superhero flick. Basically every scene is just a bit too long and that robs the film of any sense of pacing. Add to that a plot that is lazily by the numbers and has the usual number of blockbuster holes and you're left with a movie that is rather less than the sum of its parts.

It's a shame because there's a lot of moments that could be loved but are wasted on a turgid, bloated mess of a movie.

5/10

Killer Joe - 6.5/10.

Pretty good on the whole. I wasn't expecting things to take a slightly stranger turn at the end. I don't think i'll look at KFC the same way again... :o

From memory, I think I gave this a solid 8/10. Outstanding movie, definitely a personal favourite for me.

The Fast and the Furious - Never seen any of these before so decided to start at the beginning. Does the series get better as this was not much special, yes cars and racing and the odd explosion. My kids liked it but there wasn't enough meat on the bones. 2/5

I think the only one that's poor is 2 fast 2 furious, loved all the others but 4 on wards the story's and acting does improve but in essence they are just mindless action and car porn

Last night's flying entertainment included:
5th Wave - 4/10 I feel even that is generous.
Deadpool - 9/10 Fortunately I watched this after the aforementioned and my faith in films restored. Excellent. Ryan Reynolds is hilarious. And as for Morena Baccarin, ooh la la!!
Agree on deadpool was a great film but how you can even give 5th way above 1 is shocking that film was a total waste of time that I lost and want back

Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

complete diarrhea. 4/10 (being generous because of the babes)

2 hour long car chase with too many loud moments and not enough acting - or story.

it was actually painful to get to the end. pure crap.

I Watch to watch horror movie.

So I ended up watching
Krampus, it was ok, not very scary more of a christmas comedy, still watched it all so 4/10
The Boy, same again, it was not so bad I watched it all 4.5/10

The Dressmaker. 7.5/10

Kate Winslet in a bizarre 1950s Australian "comedy?" Weird film ranging from laugh out loud slapstick comedy to a few "serious" scenes where i literally was bored to tears.

Good acting overall from everyone, great cliche aussie characters. Jumbled as hell after about 2/3rs it loses the plot and just goes up and down until it ends very oddly...

Strange film watchable but not twice!

Im thinking of watching Paranormal Activity movies, they dont seam that good but ive never see it.

I do have some questions if anyone can help
1. Does story connect,
2. Should I just watch a select few Or just watch the best one
3. Does series have a continuing story ?

Im wanting to just watch the last one but I want to know the story if it continues.
