What film did you watch last night?

Fifty Dead Men Walking - Blu-Ray - Very good British Film

Based on Martin McGartland's shocking real life story. Martin is a young lad from west Belfast in the late 1980s.........imdb link

Check it out, nice and gritty.

That's a magnificent film, watched it a few weeks ago with the missus. By the end of it I couldn't decide which side I hated more: the Irish or the Poms. :o

Watched Watchmen this morning. Rather weird, but overall quite good. It was very satisfying to see a movie deliberately presenting the audience with flawed superheroes (particularly Rorschach!) and I enjoyed the fact that the happy ending came at a terrible price.

Just finished watching X-Men: the Last Stand. Brainless easy watching to pass the time. Like the rest of the X-Men franchise, it only has three genuine actors: McKellen, Stewart and Jackman. Everyone else is just an extra IMHO.

The Fast and the Furious.
When hungover this film is just about perfect. Fast cars, hot women and a non existent story to follow. At all other times...

Tuesday - Star Trek '09 - meh, was ok, storey felt rushed.

Thursday - District 9 - wicked film, can't wait to see on blu-ray next time!

Sat - Lord of the Rings - Return of the King, was only going to watch 5min...ended up watching all of it. :D

Currently an hour into Once Upon a Time in America. Not impressed by it at all so far; doesn't compare to The Godfather at all (yet).

Inglourious ********.
took a while, but finally got my arse out to the cinema

not entirely convinced. it was a bit silly, and not enough character depth.
i'll have to watch it again once it comes out on DVD though.

i was expecting it to be overrated (on places like IMDB) and it most certainly was :p
at least the proper reviews i read gave subjective criticism, so i knew what to expect

OldBoy - my first ever Korean film, very enjoyable if totally confusing for the first half! Would recommend 4/5

i watched fly away home on channel 5 earlier. certainly one of the finest kids movies i've ever seen. i'll even admit to wiping away a tear at the end. :p

Crank 2: High Voltage (Blu Ray)

Mindless action with some boobeh and cheap laughs :)
