What film did you watch last night?

Red Dawn (2012). Quite good in places (once you get past the ridiculous base concept) but the decision towards the end (about who survives) just kills the movie. I can see the character arc they were going for but it really trashes the movie.
5/10.

P.S. Watched because my wife spotted that it had Chris Hemsworth in it.

A film should be 2 hours max.

But I do have the attention span of a flea
A while back 3 hour films were quite few (The Godfather, Heat, Gladiator) all are absolute classics. Whereas nowadays, 3+ hours seem a regular occurrence for films that I wouldn't expect.

Stallone had the right idea for Rocky 3 & 4 (New challenger rocks up, get angry, training montage, KO) job done in 90 mins! :D

Thanks to those who recommended These Final Hours. I love a decent world ending film and this really hit home with me. Them Aussies know how to do a good show/film, must be so much out there you just don’t hear about that’s quality TV.

Heat and gladiator were both under 3 hours as I checked :p

But you're right about rocky being the perfect length! Lol!

Obligatory 'have you seen Mr Inbetween?' recommendation. :D

Glad you enjoyed the movie, I imagine it's small enough scale to have passed most people by when it was released.

Third watch last night, what a film 10/10
