What film did you watch last night?

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.

The original Blader Runner was already considered something of a classic when I watched it on VHS in my formative years. What is this "letterboxd reviews" heresy of which you speak?
It's just so outrageously slow....like I'm 1.5hrs in and this is my 2nd attempt. Maybe I need a cinema or something

If you can't watch it at the cinema, try watching it with your mobile phone and laptop in another room. I find this is a big reason why cinema helps, less digital distractions!

Also, I checked out

Low quality reviews, judging by their homepage

I was going to post my agreement with your suggested plan of action. However, I realise that in my rage I initially misread "cinema" as "enema'.

Next I'll tell you what I thought about a 2001 space odyssey....:D

Heretic (2024) - 7/10

Very creepy and well written with some clever observations on religion and how it has been changed over time.

Grant does a stellar performance as the disturbingly friendly lead and whilst the setting effectively adds to the claustrophobia and oppressive atmosphere, the house could have been more eccentric.

The ending stretches belief a little too far, but the use of light, no matter how contrived, was a good contrast to the house and what occurs within.

Got that booked for tomorrow. Can't wait :)

Twisters

4/10

They just copied the original films exact plot and put kids in trucks chasing twisters, somehow worse then the original so its great if you wish to fall asleep quicker at night though

Joker: Folie à Deux 5/10

Not sure what all the hate is about, was it good? Eh debatable but it was okay. First was great watching a man let his inner madness out, this didn't need made but it wasn't terrible.

Caddo lake 7/10
Drama mystery with more than a hint of Dark about it. Really good film, keeps you guessing and trying to figure out what is going on. Good performances from the cast too. Recommended if you like this sort of film.

The hate is from the people who liked the first film and the fact this is basically giving them the middle finger.

Salems lot 2024

Ermmm, really liked it up until the last ten mins
So 7.5/10

Mind I have no love of the original and the book is one King title I have not read. Should fix that.

What I liked about it, is .. didn't take itself too seriously at times. Felt more like.... A 12 than a outright horror.
