What film did you watch last night?

The Witch Part 1. @ Prime. Defo not what I expected but enjoyed it nevertheless. Korean Super violent movie about a mysterious girl who escaped and lost all memory. Her past catches up with super ordinary circumstances. 7.5/10.
Thanks for the recommendation, good film and i would agree with your score.
Its the second good Korean film i have watched in the past couple of weeks.

Nosferatu (2025)

Loved it, so immersive in the cinema. Excellent acting all round. 8/10

Nosferatu (2024) - 9/10
I also loved this. Proper horror, not modern nonsense that relies on jump scares for effect. (Although there is one fantastic one :D ). Proper sense of dread throughout. Definitely must see at the cinema, the experience will definitely be dulled at home - although that could be said for all films imo.

We just finished watching Fair Play. 6/10 for me. I was pleasantly surprised. Very engaging, nice drama. I think the trailers undersold it a little as an “erotic thriller”.

Can definitely echo the above thoughts on Nosferatu. Watched it in the cinema yesterday and would recommend a cinema viewing for the best experience. Visually beautiful film as well.

Synchronicity - 6/10 - time travelling recreational drug kills people, not bad.

The Artifice Girl - young female AI robot entraps perverts, I usually like sci fi / AI movies but having watched the first 30 minutes which was situated entirely in a small dark cramped room I turned it off, I like to see more than the inside of such a room when watching movies.

Magic Mike (2012)

Unsurprisingly, chosen by my wife. But even she said it was pretty boring. Outside of the dancing segments, not a whole lot happens and what does, isn't particularly dramatic or funny. Quite how you squeeze two sequels out of this is a mystery. I actually thought Mathew McConaughey's character was more interesting and would've preferred the story centre around him.

4/10

The Mask 10/10 Was on tv just now. I've seen it several times ever since it first came out in the 1990s and it's still as hilarious as ever with many proper laugh out loud moments. Jim Carrey at his most brilliant.

Yeah can't fault the Mask! First saw it on 1995 on VHS, on TV a few times and got it on DVD. So much slapstick humour which has aged well. Funniest moment for me is when the dog gets hold of the mask and goes ape :p
