Alien resurrection, i wasnt sure if i'd seen this before but after watching the first 3 recently i gave it a go. Turns out i either hadn't seen it before or i'd erased it from my brain. poo/10

I think I've only seen it the once quite a few years ago. My recollection is that most of the movie was actually not bad, but it really went downhill towards the end. Will probably give it another go if I ever notice it being on.
Back in action, thought it was really good. Very tongue in cheek, gave me a few laughs on a rainy Saturday afternoon, followed by EP1 American Primeval which was a little gory
Finch - Tom Hanks in apocalyptic earth with a robot he built and a cute dog. The robot for some reason has exactly the same accent as Borat. Soppy & silly, but has a cute dog so 6/10.
I watched The Six triple Eight last night.
I didn't know the story so it was nice to learn about it.
But i felt the movie could have been much better, imo too many emotional scenes and not enough detail on how they actually accomplished the task.
The ending also felt very rushed.
5.5/10
I find it interesting it described above as 'really good'. I found it entertaining, some good jokes, good enough action, a simple storyline but the very lazy writing and 'just accept this is how it works/happens' means I couldn't say it was actually a 'good film'. (I think we've discussed before the difference between good and entertaining)
Like the guys trying to close he barrier. I think he ends up shaking/dropping the laptop, which apparently cause all the windows on the laptop to close, other than the one with the command to close the barrier still there... really? Surely they could have come up with a better way for him to close the barriers?

Yeah I found that pretty painful to watch. It's a shame they didn't do the story justice as the acting was terrible, was like watching a channel 5 afternoon film.

Back in Action - 6.5/10 - I thought it'd be rubbish, but it kept me entertained and actually on the bigger screen of the home cinema it didn't feel too bad, good pacing, some cheesy stuff, but from a comedy point of view, I think it hit the spot.
Good and bad
Guess it looked like a different film before I saw it?
Had trouble understanding the scenario / world / background but I guess it's not important
Surprised by the end that
it's really a criticism on modern journalism/ media?
Good acting and some tension etc but yeah difficult to accept the premise I suppose? Not that a civil war could happen but how it was playing out? Also hard to enjoy a film where everyone is ultimately unlikeable
