What film did you watch last night?

Videodrome - came across a Reddit movie suggestion sub, someone was asking for 'out there' suggestions, this easily got the most votes. I found it dull, gory, and a typical shock-horror type of thing, turned it off after 25 minutes.

Wolf Man - 7/10. Surprisingly good. Went in not knowing how they were going to play this out. I did feel the trailer revealed a little too much. They did make it quite believable and had plenty of gripping moments and good build up in tension. Some of the effects was pretty nifty. Cast had put in a good shift but the storyline was tad simplistic but i didnt mind as it focused more on the main draw of the movie.

Gladiator II

As a stand alone, 5/10

as a sequal to one of my all time favourite movies (despite it's flaws) 2/10.

let's just forget it exists please.

I got caught in the same trap and found that it's more of a David Cronenberg fan recommendation. His films were mostly watched by 'cool kids' in the days when gore was edgy.

I even tried to go on a Cronenberg marathon, especially since 'The Fly' was fantastic, but his films are definitely not for me despite me being an albeit mainstream horror fan.

Alien: Romulus

Finally on D+ so excited to watch after all the 'Best Alien movie since the original' talk. I have avoided the trailers as much as possible.

Meh. It was just a blended rehash of elements of the previous movies with no sense of the main character being in mortal danger.

Not sure how I would rate it but disappointed/10.

God knows why there is talk of a sequel.

Before or after Debbie Harry got them out.
