What film did you watch last night?

Watching Back To The Future on ITV 4

Seen it a million times, every time it's still as amazing as the last. Just so good in so many ways. And Marty McFly's mum is a fox (in 1955).

Lea Thompson is fit as in 1955.

And yes, it's still great even watching it the umpteenth time. The scene with him in the car with Doc Brown on the clock tower getting ready for the lightnin bolt is exciting every time, even though you know he's going to make it.

Saving Private Ryan. Excellent. 10/10.

Forgot to mention....the 1993 remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Worth a view, 5/10 - 6/10.

The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus.

It was OK, but in all truth the question of whether it's any good is kinda irrelevant in the face of the cultural significance of it being Heath Ledger's final film. It was a bit slow to start, but once it got going it was pretty good. Something wasn't quite right with Lily Cole and whoever was playing Anton, but I'm not sure whether that was their acting or the direction or editing or what... there were a few times when the timing just seemed really off.

Still, pretty good on the whole. Tom Waits was great, the plot was interesting enough and the art and effects were excellent.

The Warriors Way http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1032751/

I enjoyed this film way more than i probably should have done....i just happened to be in the right frame of mind for a mindless action film and i was hungover.

Kate Bosworth looked great in it, she really suits the red hair she was sporting, suprisingly enough the lead actor didnt annoy me either....i actually liked his performance.

Wierd to see Geoffrey Rush in this sort of film though, in my mind he always plays quirky characters like in Shine or The Kings Speech.

7.5/10

The Thing - 9/10
Not as scary as I remembered it to be from my childhood but still a classic IMO

Mystery Team - 6/10
Extremely funny in some places but dull in others would be the best way to describe this one.

RED - Watched it in a hungover state yesterday and really enjoyed it. Helen Mirren with heavy weapons - brilliant. John Malkovich was great as always. Even Mr Willis was entertaitning for once. The bird in it wasn't bad either ;)

8/10

Assault on Precinct 13 (1976 version). Terrible acting with more than it's fair share of cheese but I like it! 70's coolness. Carpenter classic.
