What film did you watch last night?

watched sucker punch on wednesday, if you ignore the begining and the end its an awsome film.

had so much potential with the costumes for great boob and bum shots but making it a 12 ruined that :/

Primal Fear. Features a young Edward Norton making his film debut. A pretty stunning debut if ever there was one. Keep an eye on this guy! He could be quite good. 8/10.

Donnie darko was on BBC1 last night, never seen it before, and dont want to see it again.

Bizarre film - 4/10
Top man! I hate it. My brother loves it. I watched it once and didn't get it. Not quite the cult film I was expecting it to be.

Scream 2, i'm making my way through the series ready for 4.

I dont expect much from 3 or 4, I kind of liked the first in a fun to watch way I cant believe it was 1997! The second was pretty terrible though and I can help but think of Scary Movie whilst I am watching them particulary how the killer is clumsy and falls over everything

Donnie Darko

9/10

One the first level, odd, second, haunting, third, puzzling, fourth, clever....and so on. Really gripping movie that takes you on a journey that doesn't really go anywhere, but you still have to watch. Performances are good throughout. Surprisingly deep and keeps you thinking about it for hours after. Definitely a good one to watch 2+ times to get the most from.

Big Easy

5/10

Decent enough plot, doesn't go very deep into either of the two progressing story lines enough to do them justice and some performances are quite lacking in my opinion. Dennis Quaid is actually almost cringeworthy at some points, which I didn't expect.

Shooter

8/10

Better than I expected. Very good plot, if a little predictable, but keeps you there non the less. Plenty of action, some quite far-fetched, but it complements the story well enough. Enough grittyness to keep it in touch with reality still.

Last night we watched Enron: The Smartest Guys In The Room. It was very interesting, as I only faintly recall the scandal at the time. It's quite shocking that they got away with it for so long. It's interesting to see the lengths that people will go to and how big the lies they'll tell can get.

Tonight we saw Source Code. It's Groundhog Day in thriller form. I thought it was good, but that it lost it's way in the third act and tried too hard to work in some resolution for the lead from a human interest point of view. Still pretty good though.

I won tickets on our local radio station a while back for the cinema and today was the first day the OH and I had off together, Off we went to cineworld in Edinburgh to watch Limitless and what a brilliant movie it turned out to be :)

Bradley Cooper portrayed the protagonist brilliantly, De Nero played the top shot business man fantastically and Abbie Cornish looked stunning in every scene she was in. Thoroughly enjoyed the movie with all its twists and turns right up until the end (no spoilers here) 10/10 :D

Just finished blindside, its a bit "feel good" and no doubt not 100% accurate but there's no denying Michael oher's story of project housing to multi million $ NFL star is pretty amazing. Bullock plays a decent enough and convincing mum character. 7/10 but one for the wife / gf / inlaws not the boys and beer.

Limitless

Just came back from the cinema and thought it was quite good. Some of the cinematography I wasn't keen on and didn't help that projectionist seemed to have messed up and ended up watching the entire thing slightly titled on the right side of the screen. Robert De Niro unfortunately had little impact on the film and just about anyone could've done the job as well if not better so his only purpose appears to have been his name on the poster. 6.5/10
