What film did you watch last night?

Brüno

rather amusing and the shocking ignorance of stupid americans is always worth a watch
although i got a sense that some of the scenes had scripted responses from the participants..
7/10

Crank 2.
I was reasonably entertained by the first one but this just felt like they'd pushed too far and were trying too hard to up the ante of frantic violence; I have no problem with bloody films but this just revelled in it too much.

2 out of 10 and it says something that even Jason Statham deserves better!

Watched Funny People last night.

Not knowing anything about it beforehand, except it starred Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen, I was disappointed as it wasn't actually very funny :(

It was also incredibly long!

same thing i thought, found it pretty boring to be honest, and couldn't believe a 'comedy' could drag on for so long

2012

Watched it in the cinema, I think it was some sort of digital projection?, I'm not very clued up on cinema technology..

There was no 'marks' on the film at all, looked really really clear.

The 'story' was painful to watch at times, I'm glad the fat russian bit the bullet!

Really amazing destruction sequences, more impessive than War of the Worlds + Cloverfield

6.5/10, wouldn't really care if I never saw it again :p

Boogie Nights (1997)

This somehow slipped through my net of watched films!

I found it to be quite good and had a great feel about it, feels like a very mature film, hard to explain but it has a feel about it that reminds me of older quality films. While watching it I forgot that it was made in 90's! Sets the scene very very well, good cast, and great directing.

My only criticism was I thought the story could have been told over a much shorter period of time.

7.5/10

Dragon Hunters

CGI adaptation of a French cartoon series. Story was a little basic, but still enjoyable, but the CGI itself is BRILLIANT!! Some of the best I have seen, which is surprising given it wasn't made by Pixar/Disney/Dreamworks.

I'd recommend for the art/stylisation alone.

I went to the premiere of 'The Decent Part 2' last night.

I thought it was pretty good. I'm not usually into horror films as they tend to be predictable and boring but the first Decent kept me entertained and this is more of the same.

The Decent Part 2 certainly isn't ground-breaking and it's a lot more jumpy than the first one. Opinions were split pretty evenly at the after-party 50/50 for which of the two was the better.

If you fancy a good scare on a Friday night then I'd recommend seeing this when it comes out on the 4th December.

The night before last i watched "Gamer", tbh it was fine but i have to say that although i dont mind Gerard Butler as he seems pleasant enough unfortunately his accents are terrible.

Last night i watched "The Proposal" with the wife, again it was ok, seen it all before but it did have its mildly funny moments and Sandra Bullock did look good.
