What have you done to your car today?

Interesting! All I see is the photobucket placeholder image. They controversially started charging an obscene amount for third party hosting. All the photobucket images on the net are broken :(

yup! photobucket is rubbish avoid at all costs, has been rubbish for years but now it turned into a nazibucket..

I just stick to my own host so I have full control over it :)

Fitted my new intake today on the ST had a nightmare undoing the screws of the original intake cover. They where so rusted as soon I put the head in the fell apart.

Other than that everything went perfectly. Need to take out for a bit of a longer drive but seems good from the 10 minutes I took it out.

Took apart my dash.

For some reason I can't work out, my odometer stopped counting up but I have a couple of spare sets of instrument clusters so I tested one from a lower spec car (hence the clock and no rev counter in first pic) then ripped them both apart and created one fully working set from both.

I also polished my exhaust tips, because stainless needs to be shiny...I really can't be doing with dirty tips but also, sod cleaning the whole stainless system, need a lift for that.

Fine wire wool is great for exhaust tips :)

Only bought the system in May and have covered something like 1000 miles with it so it's fairly clean and tidy anyway and being stainless for ~80% of the system it should last a good while. It just gets water spots / marks on the tips so some soft cloth + autosol works well. Ideally I'd clean, polish and protect the whole system but as I say, I'd need it on a lift for that really...sod doing that on my back with it on stands.

Tried to find a decent place around here to get it washed. Don't have the capabilities where I now live so unfortunately I'm going to have to pay someone to do it :( :(

May take it to have it done tomorrow or monday; either way I'll polish the exhaust tips tomorrow :)

Machine polished her, followed by a hard wax and a good buffing with machine

Protected for hopefully one more year (i use liquid waxes on monthly washes)
