What have you done to your car today?

Agreed. I had the s80 years ago with the 2.5T and really liked it.

The Caldina is on my list, its got most of my needs covered but the 4 speed auto puts me off. The older model can come in Manual but the new shape looks so much better to me. That and it "might" not have ISOFIX, ohh what has happened to me.

Another on the list like the Caldina is the Nissan Avenir. Like a Primera Estate with the SR20DET, but again, only auto.

Bought some new ignition leads for the E30. The originals have been "leaking electricity" for a while and I kept having to bend the exhaust heat shield further away from them, then I fitted some insulation boots around them, and now even that isn't working and they are arcing against the block. (And through me if I dare touch them... :p)

I have been putting if off because a new set is £250, but I found some for £103.

They have a special kind of wire in them, and a resistor in each lead, as well as a pulse sensor wire, and they come with the plastic brackets and things all as one unit.

Got a ford focus estate. Found water under the carpet in the boot. Bit of digging later it looks like the sealant on the tops of the body by the back of the rails has perished.
Just finished re-sealanting it. Hand now bogging and I'm hoping it's done. Wait a week and I'll get FluffySheep junior to spray the boot while I'm inside to check.

Greased the driver's door hinge as it's been letting out an almighty creak every time I get in/out and I'm sure my neighbours hate it.

Also got in the leaky MG and wiped it all down and swapped the towels for dry ones. I need to sort out the last of the window seal leaks but it's cold and rainy and short days means never getting out there to mess with it. Fiddling with a project car is no fun in winter!

This WRX popped up today, tempting. It's a normal wrx and not the STI, grade 4.5 and about 40k miles.

Hard to guess price but it shouldn't be too pricey, WRX doesn't normally go for much. 2.0 twin scroll, 5 speed, hmmmmgggggrrr

I'll ponder overnight

Over the weekend on the R56 Mini:
- Fittted new Bosch Super plus wiper blades all round
- Adjusted the Drivers' Window track to try and get it to seal tighter as depending on wind direction sometimes get a little wind noise. It's much better, but still a tiny bit of Wind noise, and unfortunately no more adjustment so likely the mechanism is bent (likely due to someone leaning on the frameless window previously)

On Saturday. I dropped my Focus RS off at Ford. And to say I barely made it there would be an understatement.

Rough on idle. Stalls every time you come to a stop (car in neutral, left foot braking). Mutiple EMS and warnings on dash. Slight whiff of electrical burning. Luckily I was only about 1km from Ford when it happened.
Got home to realise I'd left the shopping in the boot

Probably more, fees, inland transport, inspection etc, shipping is expensive but all in Im looking at £7500

Thats including everything though. Tax, registration, transport here from Newcastle etc etc

Just over 40k miles on the clock. Two keys and full history which is a bonus too

Seems like a lot of car for your money considering the current market. Is that via an importer or are you doing everything yourself?
