Been soaking the front brake caliper mounting bolts with penetrating oil for 3 days. Took the breaker bar to them today and cracked them all loose - will swap the actual discs and pads once I've ordered some new bolts because er... There has been History:

Binned Android Auto, returned to native apps on the stereo. Much better and Google Nav shows the speedo too which was an annoyance that it's been missing on Android Auto's Google Nav UI for so many years.
I swapped one of the vanos solenoids in the missus's Mini over the weekend after it finally threw a code and let me track down what was causing the issues she was having, then gave it a clean for good measure as she's not touched it in months! I just need to get something to brighten up the chrome parts as it's dull in places and figure out how to clean the headlights as they're a bit foggy and it'll look in pretty good nick for 16 years old.

The bolts are all good. It's the little disc retaining screws that were snapped by a previous owner!Needed heat I reckon

I wish I bought good enough cars that stuff like this would shock me and wouldn't have me like "just hit it with a big hammer you idiot, gosh."
After being royally raped on a £1000 service from Audi (including over £100 for a pollen filter I can buy online £30), I then proceeded to rip the clamps off the engine cover because I forget it was clamped down
I wanted to check if they had replaced/tightened the air filter. Turns out it doesn't get replaced until 90,000 km or 6 years! Anyway, expensive mistake on my part...
New engine cover ordered - £300!!!! FML.

Dressed the Alto up for halloween:
Painted the roof with u-pol rattle cans (base and clear) and wet sanded...
After wet sanding to 1200...
And after a quick machine polish with some 3M fast cut
Ta-daa. It looks great unless you stand right next to it, so don't!
Now I just have to put the roof trims and windscreen seal in, but I think I might let it bake in the sun for a couple of days before then.

Easier to get a good finish with than metallic silver, and don't have to worry about colour match.

IKR but seriously £300+ for an engine cover? Not much on ebay either - certainly not cheap enough to make it worth buying used anyway.RTFM!
