I bet the difference changes when you sit in the car ? :p

Does anyone ballast or sit in their cars during alignment?

Centre Gravity, ballast the car, I could have sat in the car in the Jag garage but did not bother.

From when it was done at Centre Gravity, the changes made was extra 3mm of shims each side to take front camber from -1.75ish each side too -2.00ish as can be seen.

The rear had gone out a little, had changed to -1.30 on rear passenger and -1.90 on rear drivers. Since Centre Gravity did the geo 3 or so months ago, so thats either got something to do with roundabouts and sliding ;) or the bushes on lower arms. Shall re-check the geo again in 3 months to see if the rear has gone out again slightly but now rear is set as per above. :)

Im going to guess the word sublime is used.... which is about as unobjective as you can get. :p

I shall have you know its *GEO* and the car is handling absolutely SUBLIME now. :p ;)

Was going to fit the pilot sports I bought to replace the ditchfinders on the volvo but I accidentally left the ****ing lights on last night and the brand new battery is completely dead. Don't have any jump leads and can't bump start it because it's an auto and parked on a slope against some trees.

Very ****ing annoying

Never bother ballasting mine, did it once and found it made almost no difference so never bothered again.

Was up at a-line yesterday actually, turns out my Sunday afternoon string alignment was actually perfect, however the Hunter did reveal a problem with the right rear mysteriously gaining half a deg of camber so it looks like some more bushes need replacing.

As everyone has already said, there is hardly any difference and an allignment and fitting of shims for £100 is a real good price considering we made some adjustments too. :)

Was a Hunter machine so pretty much the best and its a very local garage with top blokes. They were like we have no idea what makes a 911 turn well, so you stay here with us, tell us the settings you want and wheell get it to them.

They are actually a Jaguar specialist but they are one of the most cleanest and perfectionist of garages I've come across, infact the guy is a bit like Andy (Fuzz) from Powerstation, who won't do a poor job, everything gotta be spot on. So as they are 2 minutes from work, it is quite handy, as unfortunately Powerstation or Centre Gravity are both 1-2hrs from work, so its handy having a decent local allignment place.

Was it done at XJK by any chance?
I was thinking about going there when ive fitted my coilovers.

Fitted the downpipe today with the help of a friend, not a particularly enjoyable job doing it on your back in the freezing cold!!

Old vs. New...

Need to get a sleeve to clamp over the join as I'm not 100% happy with an ordinary exhaust clamp.

Spools up quicker but not really given it beans as the roads are slippery. Sounds pretty cool though!
