What have you done to your car today?

Just done a tyre check and I'm looking at 3x new tyres (going to do all 4 anyway) in the next month - about 3mm of tread left.

Thinking of Nankang NS2, anything else decent but cheap in the 205/45/17 size?

Nothing 'decent' about Nankang tyres - do it properly. A quick check on Camsikill reveals they are the cheapest possible tyre in that size! Anything half decent is almost twice the money, which presumably you won't want?

I think in your position I'd be looking to reduce wheel size to open up cheaper but not awful tyres.

Sold it :(

NS2's really aren't that bad in terms of grip as they're a really soft compond. If you've got very little money to run a car and don't do many miles then they're not a bad option, certainly better than the only other "ditch finder" I've used which was a Nexan something or other.

As he tends to dump cars after 6 months (and it's going on a sheddy Rover) then actually fitting some tyres with good grip and decent wear rates is probably a waste of money.

OMGGG

New lambdas on. Exhaust instantly smells normal at idle and when warm.

Throttle pedal feels practically linear now. Only had a quick test drive but it light up the rears in second in a straight line which it has never done before in the dry

Been out again. The car in now slightly crazy and it has about 20-30% more berserk.

The two sensors that came off were ford items. I'm lost for words, I don't think you can call that maintenance

Replaced a polyswitch in the control module of my ns mirror today to make it fold again. Worked wonders but I had to dig the old resin out which is now all over my kitchen floor plus if anyone ever opens up the mirror it looks a bit ghetto now.

Still, 40p instead of 40 quid to repair

Finished painting my wheels. Thought id give it a wash and as im walking down the passenger rear quarter i notice a mark and think whats this? Some low life scum has keyed it! The more i think about it the more its annoying me and i really want to key the person in the face. Brothers girlfriend had her car done aswell so its probably some stupid neighbour who doesnt like us parking on the road.

Just the weekly clean. Somehow managed to do the whole lot without it raining, despite there being a 100% chance of rain all day today according to my phone.

Soon I'll have to order a couple of new suspension parts to fit during the five days holiday I'm yet to book off before the end of March.

wheels off ready to find somewhere that can swap them over for me...

Hope no ****** decide to venture down my road today whilst i am work.

On another note... Do you think these tyres will last a track day? Inside of the tyre is right on the limit.

Just replaced my Mondeo MKIII cluster, mine had suddenly died for some reason, 2nd hand ones in cost £20 and work perfectly plus the mileage is just 100 less that what mine was originally, so no need to get the mileage changed. :)

Peugeot wouldn't start today, struggled to get it started on Saturday too. So after clearing the snow off it, and failing to start, I then cleared the snow off the Subaru to take that to work.

Having 2 cars does indeed have it's benefits!
