What have you done to your car today?

Cool, is this part number for the heated variants? Just googling around it seems like a popular mod!

Finis codes:

1708797 - Heated Version (£30)
1708797 - Non-Heated Version (£12)

They used to be £2.95 each (both heated and non-heated) from Ford only last year, before the clicked onto how popular they were becoming, and hiked the prices up...

I removed big paint transfer 'scrape' from the rear bumper of my 406 Coupe with some magic eraser, some G3 to re-polish and some elbow grease. It worked brilliantly.

£30 each? Bugger that.

Just looked and they seem to be £12 each on eBay for heated ones though.

I've got to go and get a license plate.

Some dumb bint and her tow bar in a car park decided to crunch my plate :/

Washed it, Used a bit of compound polish where needed, polished it, waxed it then finished it off with some Auto Glym Extra gloss protection.

Changed the rear drums /shoes and wheel bearings on my 20 year old polo.
A job a lot easier than I thought it was going to be

Doesn't the filter get soaked in that location just due the spray from cars ahead?

No, the hole letting air in isn't very big and it doesn't sit directly in front of the filter. Water does seldom get in the little 'compartment' but not much, just spray really. I've had it on since I bought the car in September 2011 and no problems so far. Will need to keep an eye on this one to see how it copes though, it's a paper filter so ill need to check and make sure it doesn't pulp up and/or start falling to bits :)
