I just find it funny how it feels quick-ish when going from stationary to moving, but once moving its the slowest thing in the world. Diesel lyfe.

That power curve is amazing. You can feel the powah just from looking at it. 
It does have about the same amount of torque as Grud's car and all delivered much sooner, so I stand by my childish 60ft drag race challenge.
Anyway, sorry to derail. What have I done to it today? Drove it to work..... As you were!

You need a 3 cylinder 1.0 Ecoboost in your life
I had one as a hire car when my ST was in for some work. It was quicker off the line than the ST. Great little engines!

I challenge you to a 60ft drag race.
Yipyip... Enjoy the short shift torque pulls, and try launching it with a bit of clutch slip, diesels are mental for it...
Tbh I'd love to have a go in a quick TDI. I like the power delivery of the Skoda. The only problem is that there isn't much of it and it runs out too quickly.
One of the cars I was considering when I got the Corolla was a PD130 Polo GT (9N) which had a 160HP map, but I'm glad I got the Corolla instead, cos it made me curious about different kinds of cars, instead of being stuck in the VW mindset.
