What have you done to your car today?

Give it a rest now please... can we get back on topic (rather than being pedantic with your difference of opinion).

Thanks - Armageus

I have "given it a rest" since the start, it was a simple statement that people who cant drive, shouldn't drive. It's other people's replies which have prompted me to reply and explain further; I have maintained a completely non-personal, civil and rationalistic tone if I may say so.

If you want to bring out the yellow bold writing perhaps you should talk to the people who have decided to get personal by bringing up irrelevancies such as "east london" and "mac 10s".

Top tip - if you use internet forums, know when to stop arguing and step away from the keyboard.

If specific posts offend you that much, then use the RTM button and action will be taken if necessary. If you still want to complain about moderation post in the Forum Content Discussion subforum - don't carry on arguing here, otherwise you may find yourself on holiday.

Just wanted to say to anyone who posted that, I don't find that offensive and didn't say it was. I was simply saying it was irrelevant.

Who knew that a post about a set of wheels for a little clio would have ended up here. For what it is worth I mean't no offence when posting my initial reply ;) I think this one is probably best put to bed but I will make a thread when I start to look at the wheels / start refurbing them. I will of course welcome any comments on the quality of my Mrs driving or my use of the term destroyed in there :)

What's bugging me now is that I'm only just noticing that the wink smiley is a lighter/brighter shade of yellow in compared to the normal smiley

I just checked and this appears to be normal...;):)

Edit: I think the smile went on holiday and left the wink behind!

3 minutes was it? I've seen people saying 15! :p

Must have been way way before my time on here that one.

It was 3 minutes, and whilst it's widely taken as a joke, I expect it's very much the truth :p

On topic: debating doing a coolant flush and getting some anti-freeze in there or something, as well as going for a lower oil, took far too long to warm up this morning.
Change to my work pattern means I'll be coming in at 8am rather than 12pm so wasn't particularly bothered before.

Took off the AD-08Rs and fitted the winter tyres, now mounted on new wheels (no photos as it was dark by the time the garage did them).

Also have new suspension and exhaust bits on the way.

Try to choose between these two cars:

Current 2016 Seat Leon FR pretty much all options but facelift is coming in 17, though not much of one. Its ready very soon (already built) and cheap.

2017 Facelift Mazda 3 Sport Nav, a bit of a wait but more expensive (just over £4k)

How about neither? Surely you can get something better than either of those two? You must have a fairly tasty budget to consider a 2017 Mazda3.

The Mercedes A-Class is off the list due to almost poverty spec in comparison. Though was lovely, smooth and quiet.
Any reason to not consider them? They're great value for money, test drives were positive and they're great on the options/toys it seems and review well.

Looking at around the £22K mark and PCP-ing which after deposit and some wiggle makes it about right and comfortable for financing. Hatchback with decent space and some nice toys/features (though coming from an A1 so anything will be better).

Fitted new manifold, let's see if this one lasts more than 1 day. While I was in there I also found 2 boost hose clamps that were less than tight despite it being smoke tested and tightened up to hell when it was mapped just weeks ago, and the MAF hose had completely come off, I'm surprised it ran at all!
Hopefully I got all my power back now, apparently it's 3 degrees out now though, so doubt i'll be able to achieve full boost tonight.

£22k and you are considering a Mazda3?

Seriously?!

These are good cars to buy for £5k when they are 5 years old but... £22k?!
