What have you done to your car today?

Pretty good average MPG that. :p

Numberplates ordered. Standard size reflective stick on plate with a black pinstripe for the front (sorry not sorry) and a standard non EU plate with a black pinstripe for the rear. Looking forward to getting them on. :)

I actually think that the Porsche plate holder might work on this with little to no modification and is only about a tenner to buy, it is small enough that it hides behind the plate and can bearly be seen while maintaining a proper plate, stick on plates don't look right imo. Went out to the garage to take a few pics:

That looks pretty good... I might grab one and give it a go before putting the sticky one on. :) Thanks

Are you able to link me to one? There seem to be several, the ones I've found have plastic tabs on them so I'd need to butcher them slightly (which is fine)

Might look at that plate plinth for my mx5, the stock blocky one is a little ugly.

Prefer the new rear lights on your mx5 acme, the pre facelift nb1 lights with the orange indicator lenses look more dated.

Is that because they're older?
Keep it as is should be is my opinion :)

Finally finished the RS today :D

Yours is the one who was at the Ti rolling road day wasn't it? Not really followed what you've done with it but from memory that's quite a bit higher? :)

I will get you guys a part number later today. I don't think you would need to cut off the tabs either, they simply keep the plate square as the profile of the bumper drops off below. I'll take the plate off and take a few photos. Am about 99% that it would work given the mx5 bumper profile. A friend has a mk2 so I could offer it up and see.

Took the M for its first drive since I've had the Picanto, forget how heavy everything is and that you only need to the move the gear stick 1" to change gears compare to 10 feet in the Picanto. How I missed the power though, I think having a crap daily has given the M new lease of life for me.

Also good to see the woodman pub has closed again :(

New is must have happen recently. Odd as the new owners only took it over late in the summer.

Edit just found the PH thread on it.

Nothing exciting, cleaned the little rocket.

Used some of this TRIX Iron and Tar Remover and it works a treat on white cars, amazing how much junk sticks to your paintwork. It also worked way better on the wheels than Autoglym Clean Wheels.

You're local in Staffs aren't you? When you run out of that stuff try Signature Group's tar remover, I've never used anything quite so effective!

All I've done to mine is batter the underside on some speed bumps going back to scope the area of a house we're very interested in so that's not a good reason to keep the thing lowered, then paid my buddies a fiver to make it look less like it's been driven through a salty sea.

Yes, I'm near Stone in Staffordshire. Will have to drive up there and pick some up, prices seem very reasonable.

Drove passed a few nights ago and noticed the same :(

Anyone fancy clubbing together to run it? Also open to more suggestions as with the terrible weather rolling round it's time for an SE lunch, so we'll be in need of a venue!

This is the place I went to today in the end and have been a few times. Small pub carpark but I *think* there is a larger one next door. May have to phone and ask about that.

And they want a lot of the woodmen considering how empty it is most days and its location. Think you may have to sell you car to help keep it open :P
