What "man jobs" have you done today?

I've spent 2 solid days sanding and then beeswaxing 5 sheets worth of birch face ply ready for building 2 more book cases and a lightbox next weekend. I've gone through nearly a whole kilogram of beeswax.

Painted the shed in French Grey on Friday

Also carved through and removed 5m x 2m of brambles but dont have pics.

I think it used to be a coal shed or toilet, something like that back in the olden days, whatever it was had blue walls because i can still see the paint on the other side

painted the walk in wardrobe and put some trunking up for the light wires:

Done
1. removing the last of the creeper from behind the guttering, clearing the leaf/mulch from the guttering. Involved removing the guttering…

Todo
2. Seal the bathroom floor edges, then apply first paint coat to the gap the radiator made.
3. Fit the trellis to the top of the fence (probably tomorrow)
4. Saw decking now it's dried to replace the old rotted area, and stain (today).
5. reposition pond pump,
6. dig up roses, move them and position the water trough then tap in the piping to the gutter.
7. Pick up wood for the woodworking bench. Start marking out the pieces and bonding the bits.

Cut grass
Removed broken parts from lawnmower, diagnosed what went wrong, ordered replacements parts, fix when they arrive.
Then fixed broken washing line that my daughter had used as a climbing frame.
Washed the tiles and walls in the bathroom and fine polished them.
Reorganised the cupboards in the kitchen.

Today I've modified the rear of some skirtings with a router to make space for cables, refitted them, tested those cables and given it coat of gloss. Tomorrow I need to do a better job of hiding the skirting screws using caulk. Should be the living room finished then hopefully, sofa is coming monday, TV came on Thursday and will be mounted on the wall when I'm feeling brave.

Ive built my new bespoke bookcase's and lightbox in the dining room.

NOTHING. Absolutely nothing this weekend. :)

Oh hang on, I did fill in some cracks on the house exterior render, sand them down the next day and paint them, but hey - that's nothing, right?

Today I filled in and sanded all the dents and holes in the walls that the previous owners left.
Got the first two coats of magnolia on the darkest purple paint I've ever come across in the downstairs bathroom. Going to take at least another coat!

Dumped the window cleaner and cleaned them myself. Pretty sure I've done a better job of it too :-)

My pet hate with window cleaners is they only clean the glass and not the frames. More so if it's one of those weekly/fortnightly window cleaner rounds.

For proper results book a proper one off Yell.com to do a one-off job when required.
