What PC games are you playing?

One of my all-time favorite games. Do you have the extra episodes as well?

American Nightmare isn't bad either...definitely worth playing if you liked AW

Just Finished this game today, after not playing it since Christmas last year.

Also have the Alan wake American nightmare to check out, read the wiki on it and it is meant to a little different than Alan Wake.

Also completed Mirrors Edge yesterday, again after not playing it for ages.

Very different. It doesn't have the atmosphere that AW has, that's for sure, but it is quite interesting. If you got in to the story of AW(I know I did), then you will want to see it. It features a very good main villain, and instead of the pre-rendered cutscenes of AW, it has real video sequences, that are a bit jarring at first, but I got used to, and even liked by the end. The gameplay is exactly the same.

Interesting you say you finished it after not playing for so long...it took me months to get through the first two chapters, but I breezed through the game in a few days after that!

Enjoying every minute of a Far Cry 3 replay. Amazing how much the game improves with all the Ubi crap taken out.

It really is a beautiful looking game as well!

I might be reading something incorrectly into your wording, but if you buy it from Steam, does that mean you don't have to log in to Uplay, etc?

Could you elaborate as i'm thinking of getting Far Cry 3 at Christmas. Have you modded it or removed uPlay somehow?

I haven't modded it graphics-wise. It just looks really good!

I am using a mod called Ziggy's mod that basically removes all of the rubbish that Ubisoft insist on putting in their games for some reason, such as flashing objects(which is so intrusive in the game!), the mini-map with it's hundreds of icons is removed and replaced with a compass, there are no more pop-ups every few seconds(seriously, the game will not leave you alone!...there is almost a constant message at the top of the screen telling you where to go, what to do etc). The awful HUD is greatly improved, and a lot less cluttered. It also opens up the whole map and removes a lot of restrictions in the crafting/hunting that didn't make much sense, and tweaks the requirements a bit. Also balances the economy a bit, and adds a few weapons addons.

It is absolutely essential, but not recommended at this time for a new game, as it removes the introduction, so you actually start about 20 minutes in to the game, after the tutorial/opening scenes, so you would not know who a lot of people are and it would be very confusing....the author is apparently going to add the intro back in in an update soon though.

If you are gonna play it, start it vanilla, and then add Ziggy's when you inevitably get sick of all the awfully intrusive elements of the game!

Edit- No, Uplay still required....I don't mind it tbh.

This vid sums it up-

The return of the big Steams sale season is making me have a look at some of the great games I bought last christmas and I am yet to play. Hopefully this should stay my hand somewhat as it hovers over the buy button.
There are some games I have owned for over a year and never played. This includes the likes of dark souls, sleeping dogs, max payne 3, bulletstorm, rage, arkham city, alan wake, portal II etc etc
I have just fired up dark souls for the first time, looks interesting.

It is healthy to remind myself that I really dont need any new games!

Yotube- Ashes Cricketball 2013: WHAT THE HELL

Got a few swearies, so can't link.

I thought it was hilarious!

:)

Hahahahahahah!Disappearing cricket balls had me laughing. The animations are terrible not to mention choppy like they have missed seconds out

Currently putting some serious hours into Fallout 3 . Absolutely loving it at the moment. Got a bunch of mods installed which make the game even better.
