What PC games are you playing?

I've not got the new DLC, but just randomly started playing X-Com again. Never something I've been bothered with before, but I decided to name all my soldiers after friends this time. Do you know what? It genuinely does seem to make a difference to your investment in the game.
 
Finished Mass Effect for the thousandth time last night. Really epic game! I still discover new things every time I play it. Unfortunately, I am starting to find that the crumminess of Mass Effect 3 has somewhat ruined my enjoyment of the other two though. I might start ME2 tonight, depending on other plans, but with ME3 on the horizon, I am a little hesitant.

Epic Sci-fi story, where you get to make decisions and see the consequences. The mechanics might be a little dated, but still good imo. The supporting cast of NPCs is excellent, the story is very intriguing and sets up the trilogy perfectly. There are a lot of side missions that you need to explore to find, some enjoyable(for me anyway) planetary exploration which makes the game seem really big. The lore is top class, and the whole universe is very well executed.

In short, everyone should play this game!
 
Playing some Guild Wars 2 atm. No idea why though as i'll probably be just as bored when this character gets to 80 as i was with my first when the game launched. Just craving a decent MMO to play i guess.

I agree, and yet I've been sitting on Mass Effect II probably since last years summer sale and haven't felt compelled to give it a look over some of my other games... Perhaps too long has passed since I played the first, I'm not sure, but I really should install it someday :rolleyes:

If you give it a go, don't judge the game until you leave the city at the beginning. You can spend hours there doing the side quests and it can be off putting. Once you leave this area the game is truly awesome. You can of course skip these side quests and head off into the galaxy. Either way once you leave I think you'll love it.

On a 2nd play through you would appreciate the Citadel more.
