What PC games are you playing?

I'm trying to settle down and get into something- xcom declassified only lasted 30 mins, Rise of Flight is bloody hard, No One Lives Forever 2 is a little too old. The Witcher 2 has lasted an hour so hopefully I'll get stuck into this...

Borderlands 2 (again), Dishonoured (haven't properly started yet), Skyrim (when I eventually finish tweaking my modded setup...), Star Citizen DFM (looking forward to v0.9 patch with racing and improved flight mechanics).

Trying out the Redux mod for Call of Pripyat as well the Reloaded mod. Not sure what I think of the former atm. Really sucks not being able to sell most of your loot.

Playing Dragon Age: Origins again. Such an amazing game. Will move onto Dragon Age II afterwards, which is nowhere near as good, but hopefully save games will transfer over to Inquisition.

Fired up Borderlands 2 in preps for the Pre-Sequel, and because I hadn't yet played Tiny Tina's DLC.

Great fun! Good laughs, reminds me of my old D&D days :D

Just started a play through of the Long War mod for XCOM: EW.

Pretty unforgiving even on Normal.

Chryssalids have Lightning Reflexes. As if they weren't hard enough to kill with starting weapons in vanilla EW...

Is it normal to find this game really hard? I only recently started playing it, and although I am very far away from being considered a great FPS gamer, I wouldn't say I was completely rubbish either, but I find this game really challenging.

It's a great game. But I found the difficulty is due more to the weapons and the character. Also you need to add points in your skill tree that best suits your style of play. It took me a while to get the hang of it, but now I love it. So far, I have played as Maya(siren lvl67), Gaige(mechromancer67) and currently playing as Salvador(gunzerker lvl 54). Over 500+ hours and still going. :D

Deus Ex:HR - The Missing Link

Oh my goodness, I had kind of forgotten how good this game is, I love it. After blasting through the DLC all guns blazing, I am now replaying it in stealth, what game. It's brilliant, looks good, runs well, dripping with quality. Even the menu system is slick and just works so well. Will be replaying the fully DX:HR game after this, it's absolutely brilliant. Who needs new games when you've got quality like this?

9/10.

Yes, BL2 is tough on UVHM - you simply need to get decent (as in legendary) weapons, until then, it's a grind.

You need to use your action skill, it's not there for show (like in many other games), make it count. There's a limited number of baddies you can take on at one time, meaning you often have to kite them, going back from cover to cover or luring them for max grenade damage. Priority targetting is crucial, don't let the melees get close to you, kill the enemies with homing/high dmg projectiles first or run from them while you pick off the weaker distractions. Certain bosses are quite tough (Wilhelm and the frigging bird, especially after the first playthrough) so you need to learn their moves, when to run, when to dodge, when to bullet spray. Ahhh just writing about it makes me feel like playing it, I wish I had time for it. :p
