What PC games are you playing?

Just finished Hitman 3. Good game, 8/10. I hope they drop the utterly convoluted episodic / dlc system in the future though.

I'd say it'll be a long time before we see ol' Cue Ball again anyway. Next up for them is the James Bond game they're working on, and then some fantasy themed project! Hopefully neither will use the episodic system either.

Just finished AC unity main campaign, might do some side missions and then switch to syndicate. As they were the ones left off my AC list for various reasons.

Syndicate and Unity were excellent AC games. Unity took a lot of flak on release, but once patched it has a lot of features that should be in modern AC games. Syndicate was a lot of fun.

I did find the idea of playing detective quite unique and intriguing but I have only done 2 of those. For some reason, unlike previous games, I have not found myself as attached to the protagonist in this one.

Just started playing cyberpunk again, as the first time I literally raced through it for some reason. I'd like to take time, perhaps take a different direction, try level up a little more with funding.

recently started playing neocron with some mates, actually a good game for its age, bit of a waste of a 4090 though. lol. might play cyberpunk 2077 through again.

Last few weeks:

AOE3 because of lan party with work colleagues: I wrecked them haha in a 1v4. Even though I'm an aoe3 noob and aoe 2 intermediate player.

CS2: Also at lan party: bit of a wtf moment: couldn't create a party until at least level 2, and couldn't create a private game with my work homies, we got stuck in a DM with strangers and no seemingly easy way to just have a private game with 8-9 ppl, wtf is this? What is wrong with Valve? How hard is it: ''create game'' or ''join game'' in the main menu. It felt very shouty with unlocks, tournament, ranked, matchmaking, weapon unlocks, leveling crap... Is this what modern gamers want, ugh, I feel old.

Divinity 2: original sin: Sometimes very awesome and rewarding ,sometimes it feels a little to complex for my mood (information overdose), I feel I lack guidance sometimes as I've had to resort to googling for quests or problems more than once or how to do stuff. I'm @lvl 10 or 11 at reapers coast. But also very rewarding, nice setting/world, and pretty. Also after 25 hrs of gameplay I feel I am still discovering the game's mechanics and only just getting comfortable with the leveling system! It's slightly to difficult for my liking. Inventory management also feels like a chore now (I play with controller so even slower than inventory mgmt than with mouse+kb). Still, when I feel like jumping in a fantasy RPG rich story world it is superb.
I understand that Baldurs Gate 3 is better: especially story/cutscene wise... I guess I'll grab that when it's on sale in the coming years.

Need for Speed most wanted (2005): am finishing up Underground 2 so starting Most wanted parallel to it, I feel Underground 2's nighttime setting has been more forgiving than the daytime in most wanted, but at 4k it still looks decent imho. Good music, nice cars, nice arcady handing, actually semi decent cutscenes. Basic tuning is still in...

Horizon Zero Dawn: I gave it another go and now really enjoyed it, guess it's a nice change of pace/complexity from Divinity 2, I enjoyed myself doing 1-2 quests in short 1 hr playthroughs and faffing about killing some machines and trying to craft better items. I just crossed into lvl 10. Getting better with the bow and more familiar with the leveling system as well. I used to play in 1080p (Samsungs Tizens ative Steam link app) but now with the Nvidia Shield I can use Steam link at 4k, and the graphical upgrade actually makes the game look even nicer, it's so pretty on my 75'' TV. I just enjoy the odd dumb stroll through the world, hunt a few machines, do a quest or 2.... The controls feel more and more familiar the more I play it, it's smoother controls wise than Witcher 3 for example.
I guess playing more and more games on the gamepad (steam said I did 60% on gamepad and 40 % on mouse+kb last year) pays off with my ability to enjoy games on gamepad in general.

Civ 1: somehow the one more turn thing grabbed my attention in civ 1, I've played and finished a few games in the past few weeks. Partly nostalgia, party because it's still a good game. I use pc speaker audio and not adlib for nostalgia as well as that's how I remember the game :D.

Finally: Devil may cry 4 special edition:I played the original dmc 4 until level 13 orso, then I backtracked the world/got lost and not touched it for 10+ years. It used to be when I was a rookie with the genre and gamepads, I never really played much action/adv or slashers, I feel less ''searching '' where to go this playthrough. Now the game feels actually quite simple and a bit dated gameplay/complexity wise, but very nice to just fire up for a 30-60 min sesh and do 1-2 levels. The artwork, audio, music, cinematics are superb imho (while a bit short and simple). I like the atmosphere a lot. And the Japs always make nice female NPC's.

Been mostly playing Tiny Rogues lately, it recently had a pretty major patch that added a ton of new stuff that's made it a lot of fun again.
The new biomes are great and there's a ton of new synergies to try out with the item combos.

Now I just need to get back in the swing of coping with the total chaos of trying to avoid everything in the rooms as the screen becomes willed with enemy attacks...

Taken a break from 2042 and Diablo so in last few weeks been playing BF4, and got halfway through Resident Evil 4 remake, with a dabble in Gord and The Riftbreaker. Tried Cities Skylines 2 but got a bit frustrated with power lines and water pipes.
