I'll be happy if I can get 3200 for now and then perhaps 3466 or even 3600 in a couple of BIOS revisions.

is it still as 'vital' to get Samsung b-die ram now that the 1.0.0.6 Agesa bios' are starting to circulate. stuck on what ram to get to go with a gigbyte gaming 5 board and r5 1600. hoping I can just go with any 2x8gb 3200 now?

Me too. Bite the bullet and go all in.

Got some g skill RGB 3600 B-die in the end. :D
Any chance you can link the part number? Though, the more I like rbg stuff (who doesn't like pretty lights!) it'll be wasted on my system, as it'll be underwater - UV lighting with reactive coolant so don't want too much 'bling' to detract from the main features.

F4-3600C17D-16GTZR

According to the link I posted earlier it's B die.

Believe the 3200 is now a lottery between Samsung E and Hynix so do your research...

Nice :) which RAM?
Try running the TPU Memory Test for 15-30mins.

Team Group Dark Pro (3200), I haven't ran Memtest yet but have tried P95 for an hour or so. I've backed the timings off now to 16-15-15-36 as I can run those at 1.37v instead of 1.45v and it doesn't seem to have much of an improvement with the tighter timings.

F4-3600C17D-16GTZ is the same RAM without RGB, if you wanted.
cheers. but think I'm just going to go with CMK16GX4M2B3200C16, it's about 40 quid cheaper than the F4-3600C17D-16GTZ. seems it's hit and miss if they are Samsung b-die (depends on the version you get) but can't be arsed faffing round looking at ram any longer and not over keen on dropping close to the price of the r5 1600 chip on ram just for a few more fps/bench points

I need help deciding between these GSKILL TridentZ models for my R5 1600:

DDR4-3000MHz (PC4-24000), 16GB (8GBx2), CL14-14-14-34, 1.35 Volt, Unbuffered, Dual Channel Kit
DDR4-3200MHz (PC4-25600), 16GB (8GBx2), CL14-14-14-34, 1.35 Volt, Unbuffered, Dual Channel Kit
DDR4-3200MHz (PC4-25600), 16GB (8GBx2), CL16-18-18-38, 1.35 Volt, Dual Channel Kit

My question is, what is the performance rating of each RAM when compared with each other option in a Ryzen build?

be careful using asus or g skill software to control the RGB on the RAM as there's an issue where it's corrupting the SPDs or even killing the RAM completely. Best just leaving them to run the stock rainbow cycle.

Eek. I was playing with it earlier. Seemed fine but will stop now!

Although if that did happen clearly should be covered for RMA?

My gskill 3600c17 is running at 3200c14 currently. Going to try for more next weekend once my cooling is in and try to max it out.

I'm using some gskill 3600c17 but I'm getting memtest errors at 3200 18-18-18-38 2T. Surely it can run at slower speeds at the same timings?

Not sure how to get this stable!
