The Barrage Of Needles arrow is good for ghosts (think shotgun), but the technique of running backwards while shooting at weak spot in the chest is the main way to get them. The thing is they turn really slowly so if you're in danger teleport beyond them and they'll take a while to turn and chase you.
The barrage is quite useful, but it scatters so much it still feels like I'm waiting for them to basically be on top of me. Need to work on movement to avoid all the mobs against anakim. Do they simply just keep spawning in forever, or is there a limit?
They don't spawn forever, but they're a nightmare to deal with without the right arrows.
Explosive arrows work well (once you've unlocked them). The best arrows to use are Incursion (basically sticky proximity mines) which you can use to mine the alcoves where they spawn. But they take a long while to unlock.
Until then you just have to keep teleporting around.
If you have cataclysm arrows then just ignore the monks and spam the boss with the arrows. If you have full health you should be able to kill him before taking too much damage. All the other enemies will die when the boss dies.
Lol, fair enough. That'll be my next attempt. What's with the ghost demon area? Is it just a little sidequest or is it a whole big thing?
Was really interested until you said it was abandoned by the devs! Games like this need constant content otherwise it might seem like a grind to nothingness. Might still give it a try but its a hard push for £30.I spent some time playing From Other Suns over air-link, a game I've had for ages but not touched for a while. I intended only to test it to see if it worked, but ended up playing it for a lot longer.
It's essentially a realtime VR version of the strategy game FTL, where you navigate a space ship and encounter pirates and space stations as you go. You beam over to ships and stations for 'away missions' and up to three people can play cooperatively. It also has randomly generated weapons similar to Borderlands, so you're always on the lookout for better weapons, though you can in a rogue-lite way unlock starter weapons and different spaceships by getting certain achievements.
This game doesn't work via virtual desktop for me (it crashes), but it was rock-solid over air-link, and I'd forgotten how fun it was. It looks great too - most of the playtime I had previously was on an CV1 which was a pretty blurry experience. This looks way better on Quest 2 with great performance, and best of all wireless.
I wish they'd do a Quest version, because honestly, the graphics aren't exactly complex, and it could do with some more players for multiplayer.
The biggest issue with the game is the developer essentially abandoned it after a few patches, and though it works fine, it could really do with some additional content and some improvements in certain areas.
Would be great to get a session going with some people from the OC VR forum.

If this pops on sale i'll defo give it a try then, been on the hunt for some new content after playing Zero calibre to death and blade & sorcery. Starting to have nightmares stabbing NPC's to deathDefinitely wait for a sale. I'm surprised they haven't reduced the price, as it's a pretty old game now.
What is there is very good, and it has a lot of replayability. It's just that it'd be nice to have some more missions and fix some of the (relatively minor) annoyances.
Considering how old it is, it gets a lot of the core VR experience absolutely right.
So only recently got onto the VR bandwagon. Have bought Beat Saber with the 30% code earlier and only played it a few times which was quite enjoyable. Tried Subnautica and PC2 and it gave me a bit of motion sickness. Especially with Subnautica I found the moving around to be too quick, so not sure I will try again. Briefly tried Elite Dangerous which felt good. I think I would want to try the table tennis game but waiting for it to go on deal.
Subnautica is very demanding and that's why you are getting motion sickness. It's very badly coded. One of the big faults is that it renders the game on the monitor and the headset. Whereas most VR games render on the headset and mirror that on the monitor. It's really stupid as it makes the game way more demanding than it needs to be. So you should lower the resolution of the game on the monitor to 800x600. That should give you a boost in framerates.
Even with that, you still might have to lower the settings on the VR side of the game to get a comfortable experience. Also I highly recommend you download the Subnautica VR enhancements mod from Nexusmods. It makes the game so much better.
Eleven: Table Tennis is really good. Well worth the price if you like Table Tennis. It feels so real.
Does the mod for subnautica work with the version downloaded via Epic as I roughly remember reading that some of the mods only work with steam versions of the games ? I will try the other recommendations and see how I get on again, thanks.

Even with a 3900x and a 3090FE I still can't get consistent, locked framerates on Subnautica at a reasonable detail level (Or on No Mans Sky, or on Squadrons - all examples of games which don't implement VR mirroring properly).
Though Oculus headsets should have an advantage over my Index, as ASW interpolation works way better than the SteamVR equivalent.
Finally bought Vader Immortal, haven't left the dojo mode yet .
