Wondered if anyone would mention this. It was big red racing for me too. First time I realised playing online would be annoying - people took outrageous shortcuts in that game.
Amazing to think we dialed into 'wireplay' to play those games, don't think kids these days would understand how it used to work.
Remember buying this in its big shiny box and playing it to death over direct dial up ? Lan and online.
First games were Quake, and Diablo then moved onto quake 2 , UT99 and got sddicted to tribes and more so tribes 2
OFF topic, Nice name he's the Dragon lord, Conqueror of worlds who is a part of Thomas is he not. white armour ? One of the best characters from Fiest..
This. 1kbps use to be the difference in ultra smooth and playable or completely laggy ***** as well haha. I remember paying £50 for a diamonback 56k modem as they were the dogs dangles back then when it came to dial up, just to squeeze 1kbps more out of me 3kbps line to make it 4.4 or so.
Soon as we got broadband though I played a lot of UT, quake and sven coop (half life 1) online, later spreading out to different genres.
I was addicated to online gaming when I first got introduced to pc gaming. I can't remember which game I played first, is either Delta Force or Starcraft.
