What watch do you wear?

Hi,

Quick question about the omega seamaster, seen one today same as this:

Just wondered where I would look for a better price or is that just the price I'll have to pay ?

Thanks,

I recently purchased the black version of this watch, discount can be had at 25% from Ernest Jones with a little haggling. Also take a look here for £2165

Also you can get 15% from Goldsmiths and Ernest Jones using the top cash back sites. One tip: Hurry, the prices are set to increase in the next few weeks ready for the Olympics.

F-91W here, and a CW Peregrine Chrono:

Some beautiful watches in this thread, particularly the Omega's, great stuff. Just wondering if anyone can give me their thoughts or opinions on this watch.

Seiko Men's Black Chronograph Watch Model number SSB037P2

Can be had for £79.99? Worth it or better for the money for everyday wear? I literally know nothing about watches so any advice would be welcomed.

Also what kind of watches should I be looking for with a budget of around £300-500 for something that little bit better for special occasion wear?

Thanks very much. Have the seamasters been much cheaper?

May try my luck later today !

For a little more, about £100 you can get some seiko autos, but maybe you dont want an auto for everyday wear?

You might want to look at some of the Casio Edifice watches that are similar in price but are a bit more brash.

For 300-500 stay away from fashion brands like diesel/boss etc. Have a look at Steinhart and Christopher Ward

With a budget of yours I'd seriously consider something from the Seiko 5 range over a quartz watch.

I've been seriously considering a Christopher Ward C60 Trident Automatic, but not sure which strap to go for.

Or the other option would be an 'after market' leather strap, I'm liking this one with white stitching:

Any views/input appreciated! I'm leaning towards the last option, the good thing is that I can always buy the alternative straps from CW if I fancy a change.
That's a nice strap! Do you have a link to it?

Thanks for the reply. Saw a nice Seiko 5 Automatic one today actually whilst out shopping, perfect for everyday wear and was actually cheaper than the one I posted above. As for something closer to £300-400 anything you'd recommend. Quite like the look of the Christopher Ward Trident C60 with a bracelet strap and have seen a couple of nice Tissot ones too.

Where are the best places to buy too? High St or Online? Any particular specialist shops etc?
