So... 2 free Nato straps. Any takers? One is silver, never used. The other is navy and used a few times before my watch went away for 5 months. They're 20mm in size and are made by Timefactors so decent quality!

Very tempted by the navy one... Only problem is the watch is 22mm, do you think it would look odd?

Nothing is expected in return with my free giveaways :)

If your address is still the same then I'll bung it in the mail tomorrow.

if it turns out 20mm is too small for your watch then you can pass it on to someone else I guess :p

Also, who likes lume shots?

Since Rolex Subs are the current topic, here's my poor mans version with a ceramic bezel that I got a few weeks ago. £325 - I'm pleased with the price :)

You can get away with 20mm but it will look much, much better with 22mm.

I'll give it a try, worst case I just pass it on :)

What a gent! I'll somehow get you back next time I see you though :p

That is a nice lume, how long does it last for? The one on my Seiko is nice and pronounced, but doesn't last a useful amount of time sadly.

It is superluminova BGW9 and quite heavy layered so lasts a few hours, even after then the ambient glow is nicely visible in the dark. In night-time conditions because of how minimal the dial is it seems to be very easy to read with or without lume I guess.

The lume on my HydroConquest was for all intents and purposes rather rubbish, a charged up dial will glow for...minutes before fading after about 30 minutes and not being that useful in the dark lol. It's the single complaint that comes up on all threads about it on forums and was why I sent mine off to be lumed with blue NoctiLumina.

That actually sounds quite useful for a change, mind me asking how much it cost to be lumed?

Oh, and my address is the same one it's always been, postcode ends in 9AR :) (send me a text if the one you have is different lol)

I know Raymond will likely be in shortly to go "WAT!!!!" but... £137 + £45 insured FedEx shipping. Other watches will be cheaper he said. My dial has quite big lume areas and all lumed areas are surrounded by chrome borders so requires more labour time.

Where did you get the ceramic bezel from?! Steinhart told me theres does not fit the ocean 1's
Direct from Steinhart - it's an add on option at the bottom of the Ocean One page. Ocean 1 GMT doesn't have the option though. They were out of stock for a few weeks but were back in stock early July.

This is my second post in this thread, there's some lovely watches on display:)

I have several watches which have all run out of battery several years ago and which are certainly nothing special so myt wrist has been bare. I've been hankering to get a new watch or two for a while. Anyway, I spied this...

So, yeah, its a Parnis, arrived this morning from HK. Must say its a lovely looking watch to my eye, excuse the phone camera pic, strap is actually better quality leather then I was expecting. Im pleased that its not too big on my wrist as they are a little slim. Ive already got a roving eye for my next new watch. Anyone fancy other pics or better IQ let me know and ill take some :)

Just got back from picking up a new watch. A Timex Expedition, the T49928 with Compass (with declination), Hydration alarm and a shedload of other features. Not my picture as I'm not in range of a camera at the moment, but it's the same watch.

So much chunky goodness for way less than a similarly specced G-Shock.

That's quite a lot, but there's no arguing the result isn't worth it.

So how many here have brought a new Submariner, or have most gone to a specialist such as http://watchfinder.co.uk/Rolex/Submariner/Watches

Debated watchfinder, but kind of wanted a new one so have jumped on the waiting list at Mappin and Webb. Plus, Mappin & Webb offer 0% financing over 2 (sometimes 3) years and also have a shop very close to the port in Guernsey ;)

how much are you looking at 10k ? as the watchfinders average price around 5k, i do personally like the GMT Master II http://www.watchfinder.co.uk/Mens-Watches?fl_brand_ss=Rolex&sort=dateofentry%20desc&fl_series_ss=GMT+Master+II
