Out of curiosity how long did you have to be on a waiting list for? Or are you friendly/spent a lot of money with an AD who was able to source you one quickly?

Personally I find the face of the Daytona a bit busy, but then I'm not that keen on chronographs in general.

Around 8 months but I have had 3 SS Daytona's from my AD over the years, I have never had to wait over 6 to 12 months but I have been a good customer over the years so they normally manage to get me most things that I ask for.

Having said that the list price is just so so high now I don't think they are that hard to get hold of.

Current love of my life. She needs a service soon, and a good polish up to get rid of a few tiny (Camera makes them look far worse) scratches:

Not quite sure why the hour chromo is a touch off here, but resetting the chrono fixed it.

Damn hard to photograph the buckle as it's so shiny!

Pretty much invisible scratches on the case back showing up due to the strong Sydney sunlight streaming through the window

looks very nice but its a watch it will scratch don't worry about it.

Personally I don't service my watches until they stop working properly (never happened yet)

Yes, but then you'd either have to settle for one a few years old or pay >RRP for a nearly new one second hand.

Or buy a stickered one, stamped by an ad the day before from a good grey dealer in Germany , Holland or Belgium , and pay a little less than rrp

White gold daytonas have different dials, that's the current steel one, very nice they are too, although I sold mine to blowers as I found it a smidge small

no its SS, I love the WG but for me I only buy stuff that is easy to sell on should the need come up and the WG is a massive pain to move on.

A local watch shop is closing down here, they have 25% off all IWC and 40% of what ever JLC are left (only 2). I don't know much about the brands but is that a lot?
