Whats Your BMI?

For someone weighing 135 kg who is 187 cm tall:

You have a Body Mass Index of 38.6 . This means that you fall into the obese range.

I know this.

You have a Body Mass Index of 33.69 = fat wastard.. which i knew, but hey, it was 36.8 this time last year so im happy its going down....

im affraid this time its gone down because you measured yourself with shoe's on, theres allways next year though :(

;)

38.34 which is "Obese" and clearly proves the BMI is a waste of time as I'm in the military and very fit, I just happen to be built like a brick outhouse :D

Same but I 'was' in the military. 6' 1" 17.5 stone, BMI of 32.78 and I am Obese 'Apparently' :o

For someone weighing 70 kg who is 184 cm tall:

You have a Body Mass Index of 20.67 . This means that you fall into the normal range.

Yay im normal :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I was BMI 39.8 about june last year, down to 30 now. Though i've always had a decent amount of muscle and a very stocky frame. But uni, depression, drinking, awful halls which mostly meant eating out meant i put on about 4 stone during uni and wasn't slim to start with.

Mostly, like the guy who rowed and ate silly amounts, I used to do school, work and ride my mountain bike or play footie for pretty much two hours every day, weekends sometimes half a day of just pure exercise. When my knee's went out I was eating like a hugely exercising growth spurt teenager does, i put on so much weight before I got back to eating like a non exercising person and my growth spurt pretty much stopped the same time.

Oh well, at least I'm finally getting it sorted.

183cm (6ft) and 77kg with a BMI of 22.99 according to that.

I was 60kg two years ago and always said I couldn't put weight on due to a high metabolism. What a load of crap that was!

Eat 5-6 times a day, do resistance training (a must to build lean muscle and size) instead of cardio and take protein shakes morning, noon and night. Hit a calorie amount of your weight and the weight you want in lbs x 17 and you're set.

For someone weighing 75 kg who is 179 cm tall:
You have a Body Mass Index of 23.4 . This means that you fall into the normal range.

BMI is irrelevant, doesnt take into account muscle density and weight compared to fat etc. People with 1% body fat are clinically obese as they arent super tall, i wouldnt worry about your index too much :)

Oh, and 6ft 13st = 24.75BMI for moi.

For someone weighing 86 kg who is 174 cm tall: You have a Body Mass Index of 28.4 . This means that you fall into the overweight range.

:(

For someone weighing 96 kg who is 179 cm tall:
You have a Body Mass Index of 29.96 . This means that you fall into the overweight range.

0.04 off obese. That means if I hold a poop in for long enough I could be classed as obese then when I get rid of it I have technically overcome obesity by having a crap. Awesome.

I am overweight although not grossly so. I used to do weight training and packed on a load of bulk and then stopped after my motorbike crash. In the year after the accident my weight shot up to something ridiculous like 120Kg but when I was able to get up and move around again it eventually dropped off and I've been hovering around this weight now. At least my **** are gone.

27.04
gotta say i hate the BMI with a passion, its completely flawed and totally useless. Anyone who has made any moderate gains in the gym will tell you so.
I cannot believe that GP's even now will refer to it to assess you. If i ever see my gp pulling out the BMI scale for me, i'll lose faith, get up and walk out.
According to the BMI scale, over 90% of rugby players are clinically obese?
O....K......then

Lol, when i was doing the bodytest on the wii fit, my little wii mii grow a pot belly when it measured by BMI. I've had nightmares since. :(
