Most of it is muscle though since I've been hammering myself down the gym for a year.

Strangely those scales that measure BMI with an electrical current always put me about 22.

That's because those types of scales measure body fat percentage, not the BMI.

Although I'm not really that good for the BMI either, being quite athletic.
 
Ex-rugby player, smashed knee and got a bit beefier but then quit smoking 8 yrs ago this June and got considerably more beefy. Still best thing I ever did was quit smoking. Wish my other vices were easier to ditch. :)
 
Keep your chin up mate! If you managed to quit smoking, you can beat your other vices down (unless of course they are v.bad and illegal).

Is your knee still bad? Can you use it at all without pain?
