What's your take on bidets/bum sprays?

Easy enough to add one to an existing toilet. I did a few years ago. Also useful to clean the toilet sides after my 6 year old nukes it.

So...tried an experiment last night.
In the main bathroom we have a narrow shower head in the bath which is within comfortable reach of the toilet.
Did feel surprisingly clean. Largely because I turned the tap on a little too quickly and nearly jetwashed my hoop.

Nothing like a mild Enema to wake up in the morning.

You can get bio degradable ones now.
They dont work, one of my neighbours insists on using them and our drain runs through their driveway meaning I have to call out Thames water to go and unblock it fairly regularly. They always go and tell them to stop putting wet wipes down the drain but they keep insisting the packet says they are flushable.

As someone who has inflammatory bowel disease and normally go about 8 times a day they are an absolute godsend.
The one I got just replaces your normal toilet seat and a T-piece on the cistern tank fill.

After using it, I'd recommend them to anyone.

Questions.

Is it blasting your ring with freezing cold water?

How do you aim it? If you get it wrong, do you end up with a wet streak up your back?

Full disclosure - I suffer with IBS too, and on a bad day the amount of wiping that's been carried out means it feels like you're attacking it with sandpaper by the end of the day. So I do have a bit of interest in this.

Is it cold but it's not a problem at all, for some reason you don't even notice.
It really can't miss, a tiny bit of shuffling to get the perfect aim sometimes but it's always just about in the right spot.

First few times you use it, it's a bit of a shock as it's quite powerful and a new sensation but it's so efficient.
Spray for a few seconds, about 3 sheets of paper to dab dry and your done.

I saw my first bidet at 14 in France and promptly peed in it - I didn't know did I ?. Also the two foot pads with hole between them.
Didn't try them out.

TP for me followed by wet wipes - I seem to be the only one who buys small food bags and has a roll in bathroom -when finished with the wipe put it and others in bag -squeeze bag above wipes the twist bag and tie a knot in it and bin it - All wet wipes say flushable but it's only one at a time on full flush.

Had a out of sequence call of the wild last Tuesday while out shopping at Morrisons -OMG paper and pellets in pan -pressed big ring and nothing -pressed small ring nothing in end had to go -Finished and pulled kit up then thought press both -Full flush think god.
Why do people vandalise public toilets - paper dispenser was gone -just a roll on hand bar and I was lucky no one had pinched it.

If you buy loo rolls at Lidl buy Cushelle - been buying them for years -They are perfect -soft and strong-never had a finger through yet.
