When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

Starting to see another round of drops, with the newer RX 6700 10GB at under £300, that is looking like a very strong deal. Wonder if the 3060 12GB will drop at all.

Probably not. Saw this deal for a configurable pre-built which came with a RX 6600. For £90 more you can downgrade to a RTX 3050! The much maligned RX 6500 is now close to half the price of the RTX 3050. Now that's mindshare!

I don't think anything below RTX 3080 would get a significant price cut at least for next 6 months.

Did see the RX6700 for £299, then £317 a day or so ago. Got tired of waiting for further price drops and finally pulled the trigger on a reference RX6750XT for £469. Time to do some gaming and await the moanathon that's due perhaps the end of the year, might want to pre-order that popcorn after all! :D

3090ti prices now $1000 under launch

The fact they can slash prices by $1000 shows just how much consumers were being ripped off at the original prices.

The way the prices are dropping feels like a count-down. One big online retailer's "no returns" policy for these cards also seems like they know something we don't.

It likely means 3090Ti performance will soon be a whole lot cheaper. I mean who will want to buy that crap for a four figure sum when you can get 4080 that beats it easily for a three figure sum? My guess anyways.

Which we always knew tbh.

The one good thing that did come of it though was Nvidia tested the limit and found it. The bad news though is they are highly likely to deepen the segmentation between a 90-class product and the 80-class product effectively making the 80's closer to the mid-level perf for their generation.

or to put it another way the really expensive products with the worst value to gamers ever will get a bit better, but the stuff more people buy will get a reduction in relative performance.

Thanks Nvidia, gg
(how's that brand loyalty working out?)

If nvidia scrimp on 4080 performance like they did with the 2080 then I'll just skip this gen like I did with Turing or maybe see if AMD can offer something better in that price bracket which wasn't an option when Turing released.

Will frame it (if you go AMD)! ;)
