Isn't he Affiliated with Nvidia EGVA? therefore recommending that everyone buys now LOL.
Checking the price 3070ti they are around £500 almost close to MSRP. The question is how low will they drop, once Etherium crashes more 3000 series enter the market and Nvidia want Ampere stock gone.
His apology video was crap.
He cherry-picked examples to make it sound less-bad.
The 3090Ti came down to $1150. He briefly mentioned that at the end *after* he used higher-prices to add up the damage and never bothered redoing the math when he mentioned the lowest price.

I think what he did was one of the dumbest things I have seen a technology influencer do.

get out a loan quick before the new generation of cards come out and you feel left out for not buying a 3090ti

I stopped watching him years ago, I only tuned in recently when someone mentioned his shilling antics, I stopped watching as I grew tired of his self deprecating comments every 5 minutes while pulling that "poor me" face, It comes off as very pathetic from a grown man.
The fact he started insulting people for NOT wanting to buy was 1 of the weirdest things I've ever seen a techtuber do, Calling people ignorant, Stupid etc etc... It certainly didn't help his reputation as an Nvidia shill.
So looking at GPU's from my 5700XT
It's either a RTX 3070 (non ti) or a 6750xt
prices range around £450 - £550
RX 3080 is just out of my budget and so is the 6800XT but it's a massive risk (vs reward) as to what the pricing will be when 4000 series come and the performance increase. 3070 DLSS blows the 6750xt especially on raytracing which is AMD downfall, but at 1440p the 6750XT does remarkably well trading blows.
but the question is will 8gb be enough for future reference games?

6800 non XT. You should be able to bag a 3080 at that price though second hand.

also isn't the 10gb vram an issue on the 3080 ?
Whilst FSR isn't on level with DLSS will it be like an fine wine and improve in time? I game at 1440p but want something that if available turn on RT. Or do i wait it out with RDNA 3? lets be honest 4000 series will be out of stock no matter what Nvida say plus looking at the power consumption AMD utilise wattage better (223 watts) vs 3080 (339watts!)

Mind you, I feel the same way about Linus - can't stand the guy. His videos seem to be all adverts and drama-queening. Even Gamer's Nexus seem to be going the same way recently, so much drama-queening clickbait nonsense.
Tim & Steve at HUB (and Tim's Monitors Unboxed) are the only two I bother to watch these days. Great guys with great focused content.
