MOARER!!!!!!Good news if you're already in the market for the "Elite Tier", more cheaper is always betterer
You can spoof all of the above. Your argument is simply non-existent just forget about it and move on.So I did a bit more research on it by looking at a cheating forum, and things they can definitely HWID ban which I would never buy used for gaming are:
Motherboard
HDD/SSD serial & volume ID
Network adapter Mac address
Display serial
Other components such as optical drives
I'm not certain about GPUs anymore as it appears that post on tomshardware is wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me if they could uniquely identify them even if there isn't a publicly known method, especially since kernel level anti cheat has a lower level access to your system than regular software. On a MW2 cheating forum they specifically mention GPUs as part of HWID bans but I don't know how reliable that is. As such I still see used GPUs as a risk not worth taking unless an actual game dev that has worked on anti cheat says they can't get HWID banned.
You were already shown proof that SSDs/HDDs and motherboards can be uniquely identified, it's bizarre that you still think it's impossible. Clearly you are set in your belief if you are just going to completely ignore the facts. Go on a cheating forum for any game and search for HWID bans, they all agree that at a minimum SSDs/HDDs and motherboards need to be changed to get around it. There are even people boasting about how every time they get HWID banned they return them to the store and buy another.a motherboard, or any number of individual components and despite at least half a dozen people telling you it's not possible
Every anti-cheat will be different, there is no correct answer for this. Some will work as you described, some won't.and information on how more advanced anti-cheat ban people
Yes you can spoof all of the above, but I'm not sure I see your point? The fact that they can be spoofed doesn't change the fact that they still use them for HWID bans. In fact spoofing them can in itself get you banned in a lot of games. You can spoof all of the above. Your argument is simply non-existent just forget about it and move on.
There many things to be paranoid about this is simply not one of them.
I would focus your energy on resisting to buy crappy MW2 skins instead.
It's not just a F2P game, in my original post I mentioned that I'd lose several paid games linked to my Activision account and more importantly years worth of game progress. No one should care about their account on some F2P game regardless.
And you were show that those are not necessarily unique. You were already shown proof that SSDs/HDDs and motherboards can be uniquely identified, it's bizarre that you still think it's impossible.
If you belive everything you read from random people on forums how come you don't believe the half dozen people who've told you that cheat detecting software can not ban a graphics card, a CPU, a motherboard, or any individual components.Amazing as it sounds, I recently purchased a batch of ASUS Notebooks - every one had the same hard disk serial number (which I use to secure my software) Consequently, no security any more (based on disk serial number)
Even if this random post from 9 years ago was correct and they weren't confusing the serial number with model number, a few false positives won't stop them from being used in HWID bans. And you were show that those are not necessarily unique.
I consider cheating forums that have people experienced with evading HWID bans a more reliable source on this topic. If you belive everything you read from random people on forums how come you don't believe the half dozen people who've told you that cheat detecting software can not ban a graphics card, a CPU, a motherboard, or any individual components.
Most awesome, grats for players looking for a high end card here.4090's now from £1499 on OcUK with FREE game.
It means that you can buy a brand new component with an ID that someone spoofed and got banned.Yes you can spoof all of the above, but I'm not sure I see your point? The fact that they can be spoofed doesn't change the fact that they still use them for HWID bans. In fact spoofing them can in itself get you banned in a lot of games.
The serial number of my SSD is 15 characters containing both numbers and letters. If it were a password it would take a very fast computer approximately 100,000 years to crack with brute force guessing. I don't think you comprehend how astronomically low the odds are of somebody accidentally spoofing the same serial number, model, firmware version etc.It means that you can buy a brand new component with an ID that someone spoofed and got banned.
If I were you mate I would triple lock my PC in the cupboard and never upgrade it again
I don't imagine you are shifting many at those prices even being out in front. Would be interested to know from a sellers pov @ what price you'd think the 4090s start flying off the shelves ?Well just gotta make some noise as I think OcUK is the first and only reseller to bring a 4090 sub £1500 !
how long do you have to halt or cut production on your cards before the delusions leave and you set a more realistic priceI think the release of the 4060Ti has shown that the blinkers are still on at Nvidia.
Unfortunately i don't think reality is going to set in with these guys until next generation/year.
