When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

Yeah. Very frustrating and unpredictable times! I'm so annoyed I'm still needing to buy now. My GTX 970 is not going to cut it, I've waited until after crypto expecting normal prices and it's just not happening. The second hand market is just as bad and buying used as always made me nervous.

Next gen could still be over 2 years away with no guarantees the situation will be better.

In that case, just get the least-bad-value card that will do the job you want done.

I was talking about Nvidia in particular. Not interested in the 7900 XT myself personally.

7900 XTX would interest me more. But first it would need to drop down to around £650 and then AMD would need to start upping their game with FSR. Oh and it would need to be done in the next 6 month's otherwise too close to next gen cards for me to bother. Not like what I have is stopping me from playing anything I want :)
You’re forgetting AMD fine wine! Perhaps they can get stock 7900xt to match 4080 and OC a little to come close to XTX. Maybe XTX can come closer to 4090 in future updates.

I typically don't keep cards long enough to benefit from the fine whine :p

That might change soon though if they continue down this path. I may just keep the next gen card I buy for much longer than usual.

So much for the prime day theory then........
yeah...instead prices get hiked and stay hiked :(

If there weren't selling too well before I don't see how raising prices is going to help.... Prices seem to be lowering for other countries, exchange is slowing going in favour of the pound yet prices are either staying the same or going up for us

I'm just becoming less and less interested if I'm honest.

I know what's right in my head, and what they are charging isn't that.

If that price drop in the US for the 7900xtx becomes a long term permanent price change then that is a move in the right direction.
I've just watched the video, the card is $899.99 at the retailer (dunno if its classed a competitor or won't name here) and you have to apply a discount code to drop the price to $799.99 so it doesn't seem to be an official price drop.

800 dollars is £609 by todays exchange.

Thats for the XTX.

Price in UK £974 going by OCUK cheapest model.

Thats what, 40% more expensive here?
