Anyone else feel like with Don Mattrick gone MS & the Xbox One team are starting to get their PR and communications with gamers back on track as they should have been in the first place? There seems a much more positive "buzz" around XO than previously.
 
Interesting to see another update from Microsoft today via PAX Australia - unlimited and diversified cloud storage.

Xbox Live offers Xbox One unlimited storage space in the cloud for all Xbox Live members to store numerous types of Xbox Live content, including your profile, games, Achievements and entertainment. This content is stored and saved in the cloud so you can automatically access it anywhere, anytime, no matter where you are.

Previous generation Xbox users had to subscribe to an Xbox Live Gold account to be able to make use of this feature (limited on 360 to 512mb), Microsoft has now stated that this service will now be available for all users whether Gold or Silver.
 
PS4, after what Microsoft did with the secret service and the kinnect integration I'd rather avoid the more expensive, less powerful console with a single worthwhile exclusive. Don't want some suit watching my every move tbh.

As opposed to Sony, who installed Root Kits all over people PCs and had have been fined after PSN was hacked as they failed to appropriately secure customers login, email, address and credit card details.

Glass houses and all that... Besides, no one wants to use kinect to see your winky, "the suits" least of all ;) :D

To be honest both companies have failings and it's not too crazy to believe it 'could' be used to spy and I can understand why people would be suspicious of something that you can disable but cannot unplug. If it bothers you that much just cover it up and put some ear muffs on it :p
 
I think we'd should probably be more concerned about what we've been doing for the last 10 years whilst we've been wandering around unable to unplug the mic, camera, GPS and connectivity on smartphones, tablets, laptops.... :D ;)
 
That's different as they are actually in built and the Kinect can actually be plugged in and removed. Yet the xbox won't work when it is removed.

All these things are expected to be in built to the phone/laptops yet a camera isn't expected and for the majority, not wanted. I honestly think it will blow over after a year or so. People just don't like change.

I originally voted for the PS4 and it's still the one I will most likely go for but for the moment I have both on pre-order. My setup doesn't allow me to have the Kinect plugged in so I might only be left with the PS4 as an option anyway.
 
PS4 most likely, but not at launch. It's all about the exclusives and Playstation being slightly more complementary with PC gaming.
 
i think microsoft has a sinister plan for xbox one with many untold features to be unleashed on gaming population. i doubt they would pass on opportunity to make lots of money from usage statistics of kinetic. overall it sounds like advertising hub with microsoft doing whatever they wish. the terms and conditions are frighting alone. the sony ps4 looks to me the most proper console

I've heard that Kinect can actually hypnotize people and they're going to create an army.
