Nope, it's basically an accessory, so doesn't need to be plugged in.Isn't it built-in to the XBone?

Wondering how many people are swaying to the XBone now after they've mention all the changes.

I wouldn't say it's weird. They've built Kinect into the UI of the console, and many of it's features (such as Skype) rely on Kinect, so it makes sense to include it IMO. I still wouldn't be surprised to see a Kinect-less SKU at some point in the future though.Weird that they're forcing it on you then, I wonder how much it'll damage sales.
Yup, same here. Even if it turns out to be a failure, I'll give them credit for trying something new. Even if the release a Kinect-less SKU, I'll stick with the Kinect version. I'm really looking forward to seeing how well the UI works with it.So glad they aren't dropping Kinect. Would be disastrous to do so. I don't want consoles that are merely exactly what we have now with extra horsepower, I want different experiences too.
Id rather have a camera-less Kinect than Kinect as it is right now or a Kinect-less console - be far far cheaper to develop/make and have the most talked about Kinect features that everyone seems to want...Yup, same here. No, but I have no doubt several games will be built with Kinect functionality. I know Dead Rising 3, and I think Ryse does as well.I can't see them doing that any time soon. Although what with Sports Rivals being pushed back are there any Kinect only games in the release window?
If, and it's a huge if, MS either announce a decent price drop and/or a Kinect-less bundle at Gamescom, I think a new poll can be done. It's a very big if though.
