There's no denying XBL offers a better overall experience, but I've done the majority of my online console gaming on the PS3 and never really had a problem. It's pretty clear they're making substantial improvements for PSN on the PS4 too.

Same for me. It goes against any kind if rationale for me to spend more on a machine with lower specs.

1152 vs 768 shaders I'd say that's quite a big difference and not at all overrated. Not to mention the superior memory setup. That's why you don't see Microsoft detailing any meaningful specs and why they invented the pr fud of the cloud.
That's the thing though, Number overall haven't really tacked up to the day in day out reality of how much better the games look.
Maybe a touch more in exclusives, but im not thinking the PS4 is going to be THAT far ahead.

I don't think it's game over at all, after all the Xbox 360 was miles ahead of the PS3 to start and look how that ended. If anything, a big lead or Sony might force MS into some more consumer friendly changes to pull back some ground. That'll only end well for the gamers I think.
dont think that countdown can be trusted, further down the page it says release date to be announced at gamescom? and no where in the text does it actually give a release date? not even what the date will be when the timer zero's
is there a link for details as im interested to see what they are up to?

They say it's there best guess from the Toys R US poster. The countdown is November 13th. It all sounds like BS to me though.
End of October is my guess, going by all the rumors, and Sony would love a good head start, Cant wait for tomorrow to find out though.
Judging by websites, forums and other info it seems M$ are picking there pre-order numbers back up as i've seen a lot more now saying there going to get a Xbone and many who are getting both. On Shopto Xbone are infront of PS4's in pre orders which is supprising, that said Amazon US PS4 is #9 and Xbone is #41 which must be a significant difference. I hope the PS4 is released at the end of October, that would be awesome.
