I can't wait to get my hands on them both. I really hope the ps4 pad is as good as people are saying.

Main reason I'll never get a PS is because of the controller, I've become so used to the 360 left analog being higher I can't stand using the PS controller at a mates house. Both analogs down bottom just feels awkward for me now.

Seems it will be, nobody's had anything bad to say about it so far although we'll really only know once the consoles and games are in journalists' hands for a decent amount of time.

Still, it evidently won't stop people criticising it on the basis of their experiences with the previous Dual Shocks.

It doesn't take long to get used to the difference. A week tops. I can swap between 360 and PS3 pads now without any issue.

Yep. i don't really see the problem. I don't even own a 360, so am completely used to my PS3 controller, but If i use my brothers 360 i literally get used to the controller within minutes, and the same when moving back to the PS3.

Always thought the PS controller where one of gamings abortions to be honest, having to sticks side by side, the d pad and triggers all felt awful to me.

Apart from a few minor annoyances I have never had a problem with either controller, or moving between them.

I await both new controllers to see the improvement that Sony and MS have made.

I don't have any issue gaming with the ps3 pad, I gamed a lot on the ps1 and ps2. The issue is the dead zones/triggers/convex sticks. Which they seem to have fixed. I feel like I have been spoiled by the 360.

Agreed. I prefer the 360 pad for build quality and stick/button placement. The dead zone on PS pads has always been an issue, although not as big as some people like to make out. The Last of Us wasn't any less of a great game due to the pad, and swapping from my 360 pad for a week took two minutes to adjust. For me at least, the difference in specs is a bigger deal when comparing the XB1 and PS4. If there aren't some games that run noticeably better on the PS4 I will eat my Mario hat.

Saaaaaay whaaaat.

Lol, I just keep thinking the price difference isn't that much once I factor in PS+ (my Gold runs until May next year) and there are more games that are exclusive (Forza 5 & DR 3) that I want to play right off the bat. I'd have a nice selection of Ghosts/BF4/Watch Dogs/Forza 5 and DR3 to play. Although having said that with Gamescom tomorrow and once I know a PS4 release date I will probably stick where I am.

The likelihood of you getting one on release is extremely slim.. if you do that i would suspect.

I really really hope i can adapt to the PS controller, the 360 controller has been great for me.

I've phoned GAME to enquire and I can still get a launch day console from my local store (however could change by the end of the week)

Yep, the pad made no difference for the last of us. My main issue would be for MP games. I tend to get quite serious when playing Cod of BF and I don't want a rubbish pad :(

The power is also a big issue for me as well. I wish it was a smaller gap as I would have just got the xbone, but as the gap is quite big (;) ) It's a tough choice on what to do!

Early reports show that a 50% performance boost between the ps4 and xbox1 is not realistic. Some credible test show its more like 17%.

This whole thing though does not matter any way if you are playing through a tv you will notice anything and you will probably not even notice too much on a monitor either.
