Who are you voting for on Thursday?

Conservative for me, seeing as its the euro's, I want to be part of the EU, but not an EU superstate. If it were national, I'm not so sure.

The major reason I believe people vote for BNP (including myself) is that the sense of culture and identity of Britain is being brushed aside and labelled as a pest to this new, amazing and wonderful "multi cultural society." How the british people are slobs and lazy ******* who're incapable of running a country, and funnily enough, these same lazy and incapable lot are more often than not pointed out as being typical white british.

Even though people may not believe it (I simply dont care either way), I dont see myself as being racist. 8-10 years ago I was all for skilled workers (doctors, nurses etc) coming into the country and adopting our way of life. I have absolutely no problem with that, however thats not whats happened is it?

The government completely erradicated boarder control and allowed all kinds of random foreigners into the country, including foreigners that simply would not accept or adopt our way of life. They came, brought their families and also brought their ways of life with them and refused to except anything else.

The thing is, British people people are extremely tollerant and will get along with any bugger that squads down next to them. However its got to the point now where people feel threatened that their way of life is being undermined because they dont fit into a stereotype of what the "government" wants us all to be.

People use the word racism for this, but I truly dont think it is. The british people have put up with an absolutely horrid government for so long that they're doing what they believe they need to do to protect themselves and their families, and this involves not voting Labour, Tory or Lib Dem as non of them offer any real alternative to the problems they face.

A very good post.

anyone actually gone and cast their vote yet?

I have, I decided to go for UKIP after all, I think they've got the best chance of taking seats from labour/conservatives.

As above. We (my fiancée and I) voted at 9.10am this morning. The station was [un]surprisingly empty and most people I've spoken to are apathetic. They all seemed to agree they SHOULD vote after I challenged them, though. I'm offering free lifts to and from the polling station to anyone who wants one today.

i live on a council estate so i wasn't to surprised to see countless people walking past the polling station ignorantly, in the 2 minutes i was their i saw 2 other people (blokes) both about 60 years old. i guess the youth of today, despite hating the current situation really don't care enough to spend 2 minutes of their day voting.

my dads the head poll clerk thingy at a polling station in a more well off part of brighton and he's only seen maybe 20 people so far.

Every party is going to have policies that you don't agree with, on the whole, if you ignore the pointless rhetoric most people spout when you mention their name, the BNP have quite a few policies I agree with, namely:

IMMIGRATION - time to say ENOUGH! - Check
EUROPE - back to British independence! - Check
LAW AND ORDER - crack down on crime! - Check
ECONOMY - British workers first! - Check
EDUCATION - discipline, standards, achievement! - Check
AGRICULTURE - quality before quantity! - Check
HEALTH - first-class healthcare for all! - Check
TRANSPORT - time to invest! - Check
ENVIRONMENT - a cleaner, greener future! - Check
FOREIGN AID - time to spend our money on our own people! - Check
PENSIONERS - pensioners before asylum seekers! - Check
NORTHERN IRELAND - an end to sectarianism! - Check
DEFENCE - no more cuts! - Check
FOREIGN AFFAIRS - Britain’s interests first! - Check
DEMOCRACY - letting the people decide! - Check

Does agreeing with all of these policies make me a racist nazi loving nationalist? No, and to be fair, I couldn't give a toss if it did.

I will be voting green, although I'm using it as a vote against the BNP rather than a pro green party vote, can't vote until this evening though, need to find out where the polling station is :s

Good post, i have said all along behind the over the top and racist views of the BNP there are lots i agree with and lots that realy are not bad at all.

I will vote either BNP or UKIP have not decided yet

No, but if I had to choose immigrants I would choose them first as they are more likely to integrate than immigrants from the 3rd world etc.

WRONG!

I have years of experience of working with 100's of poles in different companies, they seem to stick together to the point that they have their own communities as much as any other minority.

I have nothing against them, in general they work hard and are polite enough. Although i've know a fair share of lazy sods that smoke a lot of weed and then drive with no insurance!

i'd vote for the one most likely to remove seats from the big 2/3. it's all about seat denial and making labour/conservatives realise we know what we want and it's not what they want us to want.

I agree with you, I only meant that in a sense they share broadly our culture, ie. they aren't going to be setting up mosques or setting off bombs on tube trains, we hope.

every pole i have met and spoken to have been really nice hard working people, that fact that i can communicate with them speaks volumes of their intention to integrate to the point of learning out language and even paying for themselves to go through college to learn our language.

discrimination shouldn't be based on race but on willingness to integrate in to our existing society which is where the BNP lose my vote. while the average person voting for them may not perceive themselves to be racist they are voting for a party with distinctly racist undertones.
