Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

I know you previously mentioned you have the weekend to do this but as I've said before don't rush this.

If you do then it's going to look ****. Take your time and get it right. Also you'll find the lacquer seals the primer/paint work and (hopefully) prevents stone chips = don't skimp on this!

Yeah I will be attempting to do it tomorrow and Sunday. I will do the front first and let that thoroughly dry etc till happy before I start on the back. Even if I only get the front done this weekend I will be happy with that.

Definitely using lacquer picking up the cans up tonight as you have said I want that sealed/hardened finish for the paint. Thanks for your help mate I might even get round to posting some pictures.

EDIT: What is the suggested distance between the object and the spray nozzle? 6 - 8 inches something like that?

Hope this helps:)

That's awesome - greatly appreciated thanks.

I was a little concerned that the ends of the pipes attached to the grill are not flat on, or at least one of them isn't, and wanted to check they were in the correct position near the filter itself - but it seems yours are more or less the same. :)

Anyone ever have a problem with the fuel level indication? I have been noticing for a while that once the yellow light comes on for 50 miles and I fill up, that there seems to be more fuel left in the tank than expected.

Today I was cutting it fine on the way home, got into the garage with '1 mile' until empty indicated. I kept the car running until 0 miles. About 3 seconds later it jumped up to 20 miles left so I just hit the road again and headed home. There must surely be more fuel in the tank than suggested.

When I filled up this morning the fuel gauge showed slightly under full. What could I do to check this?

It gets the distance remaining based on the current MPG vs how much fuel is left, so it changes depending how you drive. That could be just setting off a bit quicker than normal once at the lights, or even just sitting in traffic. It always warns you at 50 miles, but theres a big difference between 50 miles at 22mpg and 32mpg. It's just not very well thought out tbh.

Not sure how the needle works, but I'm pretty sure it's just a standard level indicator - that's what I go off though.

In my metal I've had 0 miles on the trip computer and when brimmed I've only put 40 litres in when its a 45 litre tank.

I've not dared to let mine get down to 0 yet, but I can't remember putting more than about 38L in so guess I could push it a bit more :p

So I was out earlier again and after starting the car it only rose to 5 miles left (when switched off it was probably around 15). Got to the garage with 3 miles showing. Filled to the max was only 36 litres. I think the tank is 45 so I'd say you would get another 30 miles comfortably!

Well jel, who'd you get it off? I've been after one for a while.

Does anyone know at what RPM the rev limiter kicks in on a standard map? I'm fairly certain my car is mapped as the EML light hasn't come on despite ~1500 miles decatted, and tonight it went right up to 7k before I changed up and no rev limiter kicking in at all :o

Looks like the ones that are for sale on FFST. Wasn't too keen on the fins that came with the STOC group buy diffuser. The fins are really chunky and square like compared to the one above. Guess it just comes down to personal preference. I wouldn't be able to decide whether to get a gloss black one with silver fins, or a silver one with black fins.

It's off FFST, Chris Coyne PaintModz :)

I've got 7200 rpm in my head for standard limiter?

50miles left is like 1/5 (9litres) to 1/6 (7.5litres) of a tank so plenty left.
