Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

I'm collecting mine on Saturday after ordering it in December. Will post some pics when I get it. Using it as a run around next to the family car. Replacing a X reg Ford Focus so should be a bit more fun :)

ST-2 MP215 Mountune upgrade
Spirit Blue
Extras:
SONY Navigation System with DAB + SYNC
EATC
Convenience Pack
ST Style Pack

Nice :D

A "run around" . I like your style lol.

Is it me or is the American Fiesta better kitted with its larger Sat Nav screen etc? . The little one on ours is pretty terrible.

Nav sounds good but auto lights / wipers and folding mirrors are meh in my book. Like you say though it might have a few more nice bits and pieces as well.

I nearly didn't get the lights and wipers on my metal but with it being a £50 extra for me it's probably been my most favoured option since! Love it! :D

News just in from STOC;

When i got the auto lights/wipers for my metal it also came with the undocumented auto dimming review. Would be good if the ST3 did come with lights/wipers on it as at the moment it seems a bit of a waste of time. What other benefits of the NAV do you get...not sure i'd benefit from the upgrade as i just use my phone. Blue option on seat would be nice too.

EDIT - More!

Does come with the wipers and lights.

EDIT 2- Could well be up for £18995

Quick update: two brimming my fuel tank later and my mpg app is now showing 31 mpg, that is a 50% improvement on my 26mpg! I fully expect it drop a bit come summer when I can have a blast over Dartmoor but for a simple filter change its great!

What you're describing is perfectly normal with the Fiesta ST. Mine does it all the time and I've heard nearly everyone on fordfiestast.co.uk confirm that theirs done it too. We've come to the conclusion that it has something to do with the ECU trying to stop the car stalling/help the car get going or something along those lines.

Don't worry about it and definitely don't be trying to find a problem because their isn't one.

Tried turning the hill start assist off? Could be that kicking in thinking you are on a slope and that you need more revs to ward off a stall.

Possibly looking to get a new st-2 for the wife in the near future.

Only options would be spirit blue paint and the auto wipers/lights (she misses auto wipers from her old Clio so wants them!).

What sort of deals are people getting on these from Ford dealers, think list price for that spec is about 18,500.

Will get some photos up as soon as the weather clears - love the car. Picked it up Saturday morning and drove it from the dealers (Ipswich to Coventry) - loved every minute. The wife has it now .

Just ordered a Mountune short shifter, replacement nylon bush for gear linkage and a PAS cooler kit

Can't wait to get it all on, going to solve so many problems :D

Yo guys!

Toying with the idea of getting a fiesta st150. Looking for something under 60k. Standard preferably but subtle/tasteful mods are ok. Ideally white or performance blue.

Where is the best place to look? And what sort of price should I be expecting to pay?

Cheers

Ebay, Autotrader, Pistonheads.

I paid £4430 in July 13 for my 58 plate with full MOT and 6 months tax, I'm the 3rd owner after the last guy had it from 13k miles and kept it a few years, FSH, mods were mountune CAIS, milltek flexi, nice wheels as well as standard ones, AP coilovers, probs a couple of other bits. Came with a shedload of spares and parts like bike racks, roof racks, wheels, suspension, airbox, flexi, strut brace to which I sold so the car ended up owing me about £3600! I bought it on 42k. They're dead cheap cars. Don't pay a lot :) It's a shame they're so cheap as a worthy upgrade of the same age is thousands more! I have to say mine's been flawless. I've put 9k on it so far.

I would be aiming around £4500 tops these days. Obviously if it's a mountune 185 or 200 and this is what you're after, it's worth paying a bit more as to do it yourself would cost a chunk.

White will fetch a premium I find. I will say silver isn't that desirable and a bit of a boring colour but I was really happy with the deal at the time.

Sorry, i know i sound like a broken record but there is no way i could put that down on a Fiesta. Especially knowing i could have a mint example RS Focus for the same price.

Yes, complete different running leagues, but still... You madheads :p

Lovely cars though, especially in blue :)

RS focus would just cost far too much to run, and own (id mod it to hell and back) vs a Mk7 FiestaST. I only paid £16k for mine, and i have kept my other ST, although if I'm honest in the 4 weeks i've had the MK7 i've only driven the MK6 once, and i LOVED that car. :( I think I'm going to end up selling it for less than £3000 which will kill me inside.

Think most people are getting them down cheaper than that.

Or you could just go one further and get one for £12500 like i did ;)

Yeah i thought they was being sold for around £14.5k. Had a letter off ford last week asking if i wanted to go test drive one.

Would do, but i don't want some remmer sat next to me telling me what i can and can't do. So not bothered.
