Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Well passed the MOT. Arnold clark lost me a months mot though. Oh and my 8 month old aero front wipers failed it. If I could have got it retested I would have but not got the time off work for that. So just had to pay them the cash for Ford ones.

That is my warranty up and last mot there. So glad I do not have to go back to those stealers.

Found more rust though while cleaning engine:

That is on the part under the battery. Also while washing it this week got paint bubbles under the rear window, only a couple but repair will be a pain.

Engine bay clean!

I've probs got a few dots of surface rust in the engine bay in places as above but nowhere else.

I'd not worry, these are cheap cars at the end of the day :)

Mines off to Finsport on the 29th to have the following fitted:

- Stage 1 remap (215-220bhp)
- Finsport Induction Kit
- Blue JSP Induction Pipe

I will sort some pictures out when it's all fitted!

Anyone got one of the new ST's with the solid red paint? Just wondering how good the paint job on Fords are these days? Especially with the red not being a metallic. Can't remember the last car that I owned that did not have metallic paint (and at my advance years I've owned a fair few motors).

Considering chopping in my Swift sport later in the year for one. We will need a bigger boot now we are going to sell the 2nd car (Skoda Fabia) . Well that's going to be my excuse and I'm sticking to it;) Just got to make sure a certain person doesn't realise that it's another 2-door car (until I sign on the dotted line).

PS. I see that the list price has gone up on Fords WEB site.

Aye, that orange one needs to be taken at the right angle and the right time of day. Red is actually really growing on me, but blue is still the fastest ;)

Picked up my ST2 last night and after a short drive any buyers remorse quickly went out of the window. What a lovely car to drive! I honestly don't care if I look like a chav with the red lit scuff plates, the sound that comes out of it, the way it handles, everything. Love it!

Does anyone know if Recaro CS seats that have a Fiesta ST (MK 6) subframe, will also fit a Focus ST?

I put a sale thread on STOC but I'm thinking with the MK6 being an older car now it might be better speaking to some Focus ST guys instead?

So so so tempted buy a new ST and get the mountune upgrade. Drivethedeal are doing ST-2's for a shade over £15k and St-3's for a shade over £16k!

I have done the maths and if i keep the car 5 years ( i would pay the £240 it costs to extend the warranty to 5 years/100k miles), due to the tax, fuel e.t.c savings, it would actually only cost me about 3-4k over those 5 years when compared with keeping my aging 2006 Octy VRS...and that is assuming the Octavia throws now big bills at me....which it will!

Trouble is I'm buying a house at the moment so money is tight and its too complicated to do it now. I will have to wait till the end of the year/beginning of next year :(

I would definitely go for the ST-3 I think. Would be nice to have it fully load with all the gizmos e.t.c

I just hope brokers will still be offering them for £16k at the end of the year/early next year!

Well I say "new" both tyres and alloys have done 800 mile. One mate has said that's a decent price as I've knocked him down from £400. Another mate said it was expensive as they're £400 new without tyres.

If this is on a MK6, they drive so much better with 16's and 195/45 tyres.

I've had 15" 195/50 on mine, too bulbous and doesn't feel as solid on the road, standard 205/40 17's, heavy wheels! Caused me issues on coilovers.

And 195/45x16 on some MK7 Fiesta Zetec wheels, perfect :)

Yeah it's for a mk6. To be honest tyre sizes and offset confuse the hell out of me:D

Lowered my car on some AP coilovers at the weekend so I'll get some pics put up over the weekend.

Good man :)
I've got AP's on, tbh they've done about 35k so are getting a little bit tired thanks to the roads around here and give off a bit of spring clonkage up front and the odd squeak from the back but it could be top mounts I guess. I am tempted to drop them down a smidge for summer, but it drives really good as it is for how low it is already :)

Looking forward to the pics of yours mate!
