Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Really don't know what to do. I am hopefully going out to buy a ST-2 tomorrow but can't decide what to do. My heart (and all the pics above) tells me to go for the blue at £170 per month but my head is telling me to go for the red at £140 per month. I need help! I can't decide on whether I like the red what does everyone else think, and does anyone have some nice picture of their red one to persuade me :)

Was leaving home at 4am this morning for a trip to the West Coast of Scotland, reversed back and crack; one front coil spring broken and grinding against the wheel, seems it's come off the lower seat, nice, no trip and a broken car to fix, oh and its raining. (2008 ST)

I guess I am lucky it happened at home and not en route.

Found myself looking at these over the past few days. Never thought I'd consider buying new but I'm seriously considering one now. Seems like a cracking wee motor and should be extremely cheap to run and maintain compared to some of my previous cars. What sort of deals are folk getting? Most likely go for an ST-2 with the style pack in blue.

Fitted some 15" Team Dyanamic 1.2s today. Need to lower the coilovers more but really happy with how they look.

Bet it drives miles better on the little wheels :) got that track car look about it a bit more now too!

Car felt a lot more smoother and more responsive on the drive home. Due to the offset had to file the calipers down slightly in order to fit them!

Really pleased with how it looks though:)

Looks cool :) What made you choose the 15's? Which coilies you got?

I've got 15's on my silver ST at the mo but I really do prefer it on 16's and 195/45's instead of 15's and 195/50's, I've got AP coilies, set a bit lower than yours and the tyres are too roly poly for me.

16's going back on next week. 17" ST wheels felt a bit big and heavy, can notice the difference in acceleration with the smaller wheels :)

I really need get my plastics done black, yours looks sweet. Tempted with a splitter but not too sure how long it'd last before I smash it off :D

I would honestly say painting the plastics was the worst mod i done. Sure it looks great when you first do it, but damn after a few 1000 miles it looks horrid.

Seen 15s on other cars and liked the look. Plus the car is smoother to drive and more repsonsive. Tyre prices are also a plus point.

I'm running APs but not sure what drop. They are still at the same ride height as when I had 17s on. Not sure what tyre sizes I'm running. Will have to check.

I keep catching my splitter on kerbs. Have to be extra careful parking and going over speed bumps.

I had mine painted professionally and they've lasted over a year now.

Personally I would get the blue (not biased AT ALL.... :D) but a chap locally has just bought a red one and it looks quite nice. Given that you save £30 a month and the car is otherwise identical (I assume identical spec apart from paint) I would get the red one.

I was thinking of satin black and having them professionally done thick coats lots of laquer etc, will go get some quotes off the good places locally. Main reason is I am sure you lot agree, the bumpers are rubbish quality, I want someone to get the plastics off properly without breaking clips and stuff, one bodyshop I usually use will treat them with so much care I know it's worth paying approx 150 for a proper job and they won't half hang off once done :)

For 30 quid a month saving on the new ST for the proper red (not the orange colour) I'd be on it, if it's a long term deal i.e 60 months thats a fair old saving :) The red is really nice in the flesh, much nicer than the orangey colour IMO. It's really vibrant and deep.

Well finally got round to lowering the rear to match the fronts. Believe it is 55mm drop all round.

Couple of pics I took on my phone.
