Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Had the rack replaced. It improved the twitchyness a fair bit. Still not 100% though.

Problem is my past two cars before the BMW have been brand new so I'm kinda used to things being perfect and it irritates me if they aren't. Decided it's best to just get a new car again and just enjoy driving :)

I'm not sure I can be bothered to throw much more money at mine and I have too thought about opting for an ST for a couple of years.

Had did it feel in comparison to your 330Ci? I assume the biggest difference was it being manual, but in terms of comfort, was much lost?

It felt every bit as quick, possibly a little quicker, at least up to 70-80. I was worried about the comfort side of things as all reports stated that it was very firm. It didn't feel much firmer than my 330 and was in no way crashy or uncomfortable. Very planted and the steering feel and weight is great. The gearchange is short and precise, really impressed with it. Was a little strange at first coming from an auto but it made me realise how much I miss a nice manual. They sound great as well.

The seating position is quite high compared to the 330 but I quite liked it, not as much of an effort getting in and out! I'm quite slim so I find the 330's seat bolsters a little too wide for me which means I slide round a fair bit. The Fiesta's bolsters are much closer together and keep you in position well, nice and comfy too. Think I will miss the electric seats though.

The biggest selling point for me was the fact that its bundles of fun without having to do silly speeds which is quite different to the 330.

I cant comment too much about the refinement on the motorway as most of my test drive was spent hooning but by all accounts its not too bad. I did cruise along for a bit at 70 in 6th and it was fairly quiet and doesnt rev very high which is nice.

What's comfortable for me might be different for you though. Book a test drive and see how you get on :)

Really appreciate the right up there, you sound like you're in a similar situation and requirement position as me!

I've been meaning to get a test drive booked for some time, it's about time I stopped procrastinating.

Thinking of changing my order and taking off the style pack. Looks like the new style pack wheels are a darker shade of grey called Rock Grey. The non style pack wheels get the old Rado Grey which I prefer.

You won't get the illuminated scuff plates and red calipers. If you want Rado grey then I'm sure they could sort you out at the garage.

Just a had a quick chat with my local dealer to see if its possible to get the Rado Grey with the style pack, even though I'm not ordering through them.

They seem to think its not possible :(

If you really don't want Rock Metallic I'm sure a member on the SToC will accommodate you. :)

Do you think its best to just stick with the Style Pack and worry about the wheels later?

Personally yes. The illuminated scuff plates and calipers look great and is a differentiator for people who think it's just a fiesta.

OooOoooo pretty lights! :p

Any opinions on the 9-5 Aero?

Looks means with black wheels but not too sure about the price, I'm sure they'll be dropping swiftly over the next few years though ;) Also shame about the £490 tax..

Despite the fact that it is not a Fiesta ST (wrong thread?):p - that looks like a hell of a lot of money for what it is. I mean for a few grand more you could get a brand new Focus ST from a broker : /

Also, 217bhp and only 0-60 in 8.5 seconds!?

Had a think and I'm going to give the style pack a miss, looked at lots of photos and really not keen on the darker grey with the blue. I'll get the calipers painted after :)
