Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Like white, wish my car was frozen white from time to time....

My car is Diamond White so kinda looks a bit faded and yellow compared to the ultra bright white frozen white. :p

Kinda wish my car was Frozen white though. To some they probably think my car is old and faded. :(

I kinda like the white tow hoop. Hehe!

I used to always use special locking dust caps but because of the weight of them and the force the wheels spins around they started to split my valves. Had to replace 2 as they were letting air out.

As for my ST, I've got 2 new headlights coming, the ones I have that were split and painted black look great but one of them has started to crack and let in condensation. I'm going to bite the bullet and DIY these ones...

Need to speak to Mountune about stage 3 as well since I have a deposit down :D

Nah you don't mate. Your car looks amazing in blue! Especially with the gloss black bumpers.

Ordered some DMB graphics for the wheels yesterday, there's just too much black in that area and it needs breaking up.

Also bought some new paint which I pray is the same stuff I used before to touch up the front lower grille as I didn't manage to get into all the nooks and crannies before, plus the rear lower bumper strip wasn't painted either and needs to.

I also need to bite the bullet and de-tango my new headlight at some point, what fun that's going to be!

Finally finished all my plastics today. What a pain in the arse to get that lower grill off...

I'm not convinced by this plastidip on the plastics though. The stuff doesn't seem to like right angles and loses it's stick in corners or i've done it wrong again. May need to treat them a bit better and scour them up.

I'll probably end up spraying them properly. It was a good practice just to see anyway and it means i'll be able to get them off a hell of a lot quicker next time.

Did you use the plastidip primer or not? I have some but I'm not sure if it needs it, as it's plastic, but you're saying it hasn't bonded very well. I'm going to try doing mine on my focus, as the satin paint I used the last time is chipping away easily now.

I highly recommend Hammerite Satin Black paint at the moment.

Painted my plastics a good few weeks ago and not a single mark on them currently, paint is a lot thicker than other stuff and seems to work well!

Looking at getting rear spacers again as the rear wheels sit too far in at the moment :(

I only sprayed on plastidip paint. No primer. It bonds well on the flat surfaces but take the fog light for example, it seems to come away in corners a little bit. It may have been me not putting on enough coats or not letting it dry or even not cleaning it properly. It's not exactly chipping off though, just comes away a little tiny weeny bit in corners. I think it's good to let it dry for a couple of days in cool weather with no harsh sun on it.

The lower grill splitter and rear splitter have come out really well. No problems there at all.

Will take a look at Hammerite. Got to be careful to put it on right though as it's quick thick stuff isn't it?

My 2 new alloys will be here tomorrow.

Car is off for its stripes tomorrow dinner time.

Kaylan mudflaps and 15mm back axle spaces have been ordered. Will leave these till next month for when i can afford new tyres all around.

Next thing on the list for me is either Tints or getting her on Eibachs. Can't wait for the Eibachs, totally transforms the look of the car.

Can anyone help me with my bluetooth module please?

I tried fitting in a ford sony gen1 cd player in place of the standard 6006cdc and went to a ford dealer to get the sony player programmed into the car through ids, they said the bluetooth module is imcompatable with this headunit and now it dosent work! (Although it did work before they fiddled, it just didnt display the phonebook). Ive plugged both headunits in and the same happens with each, they recognise the module as it displays no phone when the bluetooth module is plugged in when the phone button is pressed, rather than muted when its unplugged. But my phone only finds the module through bluetooth intermittently, and when it does it connects and disconnects every 5-10 seconds. when i press the mode button on the stalk voice control no longer works either.

Id rather put it back the way it was with the old 6006 headunit, could it be a simple case of going back to a dealer and getting this reprogrammed to the 6006, or could they have made the bluetooth module faulty. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Yeah think im just gunna let pumaspeed do mine. Somet like £260 for springs and fitting.

You can get it done much cheaper than that. Springs are like £120 if you look around. Doing them yourself will save you a wedge too. Not too hard a job to be honest.

I did it on my civic which was a piece of wee... But couldn't see it being as easy on a newer car.

Plus i don't have any spring compressors anymore.

Jack you would be better off trying a site like fordfiestast.co.uk

EDIT: Had a nice chap in a black Focus ST go out his way to go all way around a massive roundabout to catch me up down a road and signal me over to tell me i had a brake light out. Then he spun round and got on his way,

So sorted that out which was a lot easier than i thought it would be.

My 2 new (well 2nd hand) alloys have just arrived, in pretty much mint condition with new centre caps. Cost me £120 delivered which i think is quite a bargain :)
