Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

I'm tempted with a cheap ish Mk6 just for something to hoon around in at weekends,

I would drive one first, they dont really do “hooning”.
You can drive them quickly for sure, but they arent a hooligan tool by any stretch they are too civalised.
“Have i actially driven one?”

Yes, my Orange ST3.

Please, tell me more about a mk6 fiesta ST3? There was the mk6 and the facelift version, but I've never heard of a mk6 st3 before?

Apart from twice a day everyday for the last five months no i havent.

Lol eggface.

Any pictures of this mk6?

If looking at the Mk6 I wouldn't overlook the Zetec-S. Only 100bhp, but had one as my runaround for the last 3 or so years and it is great. Rides better than the Mk6 ST, great fun to throw around and absolutely cheap as chips to run.

Yeah the front looks great, back looks horrific. I wont be upgrading, certainly. Happy with mine so far. Front bumper will get a respray soon though, looks like someone has taken a shotgun to it. Stupid cars and their flat front ends.

Just put a deposit down on fiesta st-3 part ex my Scirocco 2.0tsi due to having issues with it, looking forward to toying with it as there's tons of potential. I think the mountune kit will be first on the agenda. Where's the cheapest place for this and any other must have mods ?

Wouldn't bother with mountune honestly, overpriced and there are better options. I went airtec for intercooler, st200 airbox, miltek cat back and Collins cp2 map. Goes well.

I'd assume that's a lot spent and not great on insurance either. I'll look into it, but whats the above cost you all in?

So only the intercooler and pipework were new, keep an eye on the owners forum classified section for good deals on stuff. I'm paying 300 extra a year on insurance over standard, exhaust was already on the car when I got it but plenty floating about. Very few insurers actually have mountune 'kits' as an option so you usually have to declare individual mods anyway. There was a group buy for the cp2 flash recently for £300. I'm prolly about £800 down so far, including the engine pitch mount, short shifter, gfb DV+ diverter upgrade and intake hose. Keep adding bits...

Edit - You can just flash the car on Collins cp2 with no mods. My mate had the same map as I do but no mods other than engine mount and the power difference isn't really noticeable between the cars in daily use.

which fiesta forum is the best mate? going to be looking into this deeply..

I've bought a few things from fiestastoc, but there's plenty of facebook groups etc as well. Just beware of scammers, especially through facebook.

Yeah looking into it now.. think I'll take it to aetmotorsport get one of there packages. It seems perin stage 1+ plus itg intake is the way to go.

Picked mine up yesterday very fun to drive coming for a 2.0tsi scirocco. Obviously not as powerful but handles great, ride is a little former but more fun and an all-round better feel behind the wheel. A remap etc will solve the power, only 2 issues I've found so far is DAB signal isn't anywhere near as good no idea why?? Second is it's had reverse parking sensors fitted aftermarket I believe but no visual display which is a shame.. hoping to find a way to flash it on.

Each to their own, I love the seats in my ST.

I'm not talking about the seats. I love the seats and they fit me great even at 6'3". It's the general crashy ride. The suspension is divine on great roads...which in the UK are few and far between!

If I was starting again I'd go Collins CP2.
