Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

I've not had the EK9 for a while now. Running about in a Clio now:o

Nah don't really venture into Clown, last time I went down that way was when I worked in Barlborough.

:(

Ah, i often see 2 EK9's meeting up in that carpark behind Clowns Tesco petrol station. Always wondered if one was you, guess not.

You'll soon be back in a Honda i bet :p

Yeah, it's very un-nerving when you see people selling things like this. Always got to ask why?

I'm just not sure he'd sell them to be honest. I am keeping a look out on the bay. Is anyone really that stupid to nick and post on ebay though?!?! O well. :(

Overlag - looks good on track, really want to take my car out soon. Sounds like you were really going for it judging by the tyre sqeal, guess you know Brands pretty well by now? Doesn't seem to require much gear changing in the fiesta either? How do you find the car copes with track work - tyre life? Temperature? Brakes?

Just had my catback and flexi fitted. The car sounds awesome now. Seems to suite it really well. Love it popping when coming off the throttle. .

i have 185, but removed my seats. Kept up with 200 easy ;) Oh and he was a professional driver in the past too. 185 is £2000 for 35bhp, 200 is £3000 for 50bhp... hmm.

Yeh im really getting into Brands Hatch now. I never really got on with it before, but now i feel like i can proper attack it. Tyre squeal seems to be a Continental thing, my Goodyears didnt do that, but then continentals give more feedback, Goodyears just broke away.. 3rd and 4th are the sole gears i use at Brands. That keeps it up in the 4000-7000rpm power band. Tyre life hmm, ive done 3 trackdays on these Continentals (150miles snetterton, and two 70mile days at Brands) plus 8000miles and the front tyres are down to about 3mm, i flipped sides on them to keep them even, because UK tracks are clockwise the left side takes most punishment. Brakes I cooked at Snetterton 300, because it has 3 heavy braking zones into 2nd corners. Rear Brakes took the most punishment because they are not vented, so turned bright blue at Snetterton. Recently fitted 300mm brakes to the front and they coped fine since i didnt use 100% braking.

STs are becoming so cheap now that justifying 3 grand on some mods is a tad crazy in my opinion.

Surely you'd rather go the forced induction route?

I totally agree. £3k on a modification is just crazy. You could save the money and put it towards a new car thats just as fast and could be cheaper to insure and run. I know Ive spent around £1000 on mods on my Fiesta but thats because the car I want I wont pay the amount they are asking for on the insurance. Plus I could have spent less if I bought everything second hand.
